I guess this will work here as a dio. The celticwerks road base or uneven farm road is a perfect size to place any tank that has an articulating suspension, or just for taking a quick pic of a model. I decided when I got this item for review that I just had to paint it. So that's what I'm doing at the moment. I also plan on placing a knocked out tank on this base, just have to figure out which model. I'm thinking a Tiger or Panther. Review of this base here modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=reviews&action=display&thread=733I have a coat of primer on right now and when that dries I'll take pics. I want to use some scenic express products on this one as well. What I've done is taken a wall section from Celtikwerks and cut that so it would fit in one corner. I did this to add height and to break up the some what flat surface. Stay tuned for an update.

I started by applying Vallejo primer in a mix of gray and panzer gray. This is also a base coat from which to start the actual painting of the cobblestnes. The earth area received a brown Vallejo primer coat. Here is the primed base so far. Painting pics coming up in a bit. Since I was priming this, I also primed the Celtikwerks fountain and cobblestone road base. Stay tuned for more pics in a few.

Exactly jackwagon The cobblestones are done and a wash applied. I started adding a bit of green stuff near the wall which will add some contrast to the base. have to add green grass to the one corner, then a DAK wash with dust pigments and that should be it for the base.

Right you are jackwagon. Got that planned, just hope I have enough. I need to put an order in for a re supply of scenic express tufts. Gonna plant a bit more grass then give it the final wash and pig. Will have this done tonight for sure.

That JSU looks like its sitting on the base ok.
I'm not near as fast painting mine as you are, lol, I'm using Humbrols to paint mine so you know what that means. Let stuff dry good before the next step.

I go for acrylics because of that. The dry time is faster and lets you keep moving. of course a hair dryer helps too ...LOL

Yep, nice and muddy, can use the AK wet mud effects along with Vallejo still water...perfect.
I'm going to cut and router a wood base for this when it's not so cold in the garage, then mount this on it.

Might go chop up a few bases then T. Need to buy a router table at some point for the small stuff. My new router won't fit in my old table.

Hey Ian, sorry I missed your post. Yep she's a real gem to paint. I'll add some weathering to the stone wall now that it's all cured, and will add some fallen leaves here and there.
