Nice kit! You're off to a flying start. That book is EXTREMELY helpful so take good advantage of it. I look at it all the time for ideas. Jeff

Once you're working on two, then you could always add a third to do whilst the paint dries on the other two.
Then a fourth.
Maybe a fifth for variety?

Yo, TJ, nice pick. Looks like it's going together pretty well. Hey, do this old Guy a favor will ya? I'm very interested in the Jagd book mentioned earlier in the thread. These eyes can't quite make the smaller print out. Could you give me the title, publisher and stuff? Thanks.

Gosh I didn't realize Heico is that short?!?!? Oh its not him? KT is that BIG??? I got it! We should be grateful that the Germans didn't produce many of them or the war outcome would have been different...

Excellent kit and good choice of markings. Herr Sowa would be pleased with all the attention he gets. Just about the 1 year anniversary of doing the same kit and markings. And I still have another in the stash

A small drop of superglue could help your problem. This will keep the fender on it's place but when you want it of again you can just pull it of. Not the most favorite way to go, but perhaps an option. What also might be an option: I use this stuff to glue loose tracklinks together. It will be able to bend around a little bit even after a bigger period of time. But i allmost always need to glue some parts back together with superglue when assembling. But it gives you the option to make a few pieces and assemble after painting because it will still bend around the sprocket etcetera. I hope you understand what i mean

Pretty sweet build Tony. On the fender/no fender question. I'm assuming the upper and lower hull are glued? IMHO, the only way To get the Magictracks on and looking good is with the fenders off. So what I would do is, get the suspension, roadwheels and tracks put together. Weather them and then use aluminum foil to mask them off. Like this......... I really like doing this as the foil has enough stiffness to hold it's shape, can be tucked around any corners to hold it in place but doesn't stick to anything cause there's no stickyness like masking tape when you take it off. Then you can glue your fenders on, paint and weather the hull and then remove the foil. Ta-Da You may have to take the foil off piece by piece but it will come off.

Make a couple of ropes of fun tack and press the fenders to the sides. Should be a good hold for what you need to do.

Tony, Fun Tack or Blue Tack is sold as an alternative way to hang posters. It's a sticky putty sold in stationary. I use it all the time to hold parts temporarily for painting. Good quick mask for suspension pieces also.
