Thanks for the warm welcome lads . I like the one basic rule; "...Build what you like, when you like and how like..." that is cool and simple and I think I can follow this one easily Now to see what the stash will let me start with..... 1721Lancers

"....they are just extremely jealous of guys who belong to the best!...." Jeez I'm confused....so what we're sayin' is he left the Army and joined the Submarine Service? I am sure other boneheads may of said this before but I wasn't in the Army, I joined the 17/21 Lancers , we accepted the other uniformed players as a needed necessity in case of.... Here is a little food for thought about "the Cavalry Regiment" The fact that our regiment was stationed in N.Germany through the end of the 70's the 80's and the beginning of the 90's may of caused the fall of the "Iron Curtain". You see, just our being there caused a huge threat to the Soviet satellite states, and this needed to be countered 24/7. The USSR could no longer keep this up, the financial cost was horrific, and therefore reds started to break up their Satellite states and pulled back to their own internal borders. The rest is history. So their you have it, the 17/21 Lancers saved not only Europe but possibly the World too , boy I am proud to of taken part . I have been wandering around the site looking at this and that. Now I have a question: If I want to show a build, then I do the following: Choose subject, choose forum, start thread with build? No need for: time frame, approval through admin, etc. etc.? 1721Lancers

Hi 1721...Rob (the gaffer) and the moderators here give you loads of free reign, so fill yer boots mate What are your preferred subjects? Just one point you will need an account with Photobucket or similar to store and upload your photos. Its really easy though and no-one buggers about with your posts and text apart from you. Smudge PS; note there are two Smudges on here which may get confusing so to make things clear...I'm one and he's the other one

Thanks Joe Smudge (both of you) (I take it you are two different persons and not just 1 with strange disorder ), sorry for not answering earlier, I like most things with tracks and big guns, a few with wheels and guns, and now again those things with wings. (all scales but prefer 1/35) Hi Paul Well its a small world not only were Paul and I in the same Regiment right down to the same Troop The Mighty B Sqn 4th Troop that's 1 officer and 11 or,s, 3 Tanks but I think we even did a few exercises on the same crew. Great to see you here your like it. As for our Historic past. Death Or Glory .............Need we say more!.................... Rgs Mac Hi Mac, I did one 14 day stint on 42 and that was with Dave (commander), Spongy (gunner) Chris Money (loader op.) and myself as driver. You and Bill where of somewhere but I can't remember where or why. I must admit it was good fun, especially when Dave traversed the turret off so he could smack me on the bonedome with the butt of his SMG for taking a wrong turn. I remember us two diggin' the sentry trench out, and you moaning that it was too deep as you couldn't see over the top (lol) The best thing about 4th troop was that we were "officerless" , until that idiot from RHA turned up. Dumb f.. did his first exercise on 41 as a loader op. and got everything he could caught up in the traverse, managed to boil the bv dry twice, and got lost on the escape and evasion they surprised us with. He wandered off to do.. well whatever, and couldn't find his way back to Oswin, Navers and myself so instead of sleeping for a couple of hours we went searching for him, whilst recce troop was out searching for us all . The "Chieftain build" we could do next year, as I have got to get some bits and pieces together for that. Paul
