Well being a newcomer I have decided to show some of my favorite builds from last year. These were built and documented on the "other" site, therefore some of you will recognise them, for my new mates please enjoy. Any form of critique or advise will be greatly accepted, and yes I know I need a decent photobooth (I hope the pics show up) This B+W King Tiger was inspired from a postcard of the the KT no. 105 of the 501st heavy tanks a couple of days before it was ko'ed: Hetzer Starr from Trumpeter, from whom the figures are I have forgotten. Trumpeter SU 152 Operational Tortoise (Meng) Suez campaign Hobby Boss VK4502 (P) vorne Scimitar LEP - AFVClub and Castoff conversion Frankenstein T55 - Trumpeter T55 with Academy M18 I hope you all like what I have shown here I am currently building a Tiran 6 using the Trumpeter T62 mod. 1972 and the Legend conversion, I'll post a seperate thread for that maybe tomorrow. 1721Lancers

The pics are not showing up. I am not familiar with the hosting site you use but look for IMG link. This can be copied directly into a post for the pics and can be done in a “Post Quick Reply” or a regular “Reply” to a post. Or look for a DIRECT link. Copy that and click the button here that looks like a little picture, 3rd to the right of the one with the globe, and paste that in the top section.
As far as good enough, it’s got nothing to do with. Post and have fun.
By the time I finished typing this I see someone else got your pics going so I will say they look great.

They look lovely to me - not sure what you're worried about there!
Only thing I would suggest is more wear, tear and dirt. But the amount of weathering is always a highly subjective thing...

Yp, see it just fine. And now that someone pointed out to me the KT is painted BxW, and I can see the color of the frame I see that IS a color picture. Serious lack of brain cell activity today.

Hey your stuff definitely looks good, either way no one would jump on you or browbeat you, only constructive criticism here Thanks Tojo, that is what I was hoping to hear. Doogsatx and Desertrat - I try to keep the weathering to a minimum. You see I worked on a Chieftain tank and after a good day out on the Soltau training area we knocked all the dirt and other stuff of the vehicles. There is nothing worse than built up mud and stuff that turns into concrete and could cause the loss of a track. So I guess all other armoured units, new or old, would do the same. Therefore you would only see a scummed up tank directly or near to after it happened. But as you say, it is a well discussed thing and I suppose there is no right or wrong in anything we do? 1721Lancers

Some nice clean builds there. REALLY like the netting on the Scimitar - home made? Or an aftermarket product?

"Good enough"? I think so.... not that it's a requirement, this is probably the most welcoming site on the planet. I have to admit being a fan of the KT as well, very nicely executed.

Some nice clean builds there. REALLY like the netting on the Scimitar - home made? Or an aftermarket product? Hi dupes, it was homemade. Basically it a field dressing that was cut up into smaller bits. This was then soaked in white glue, water and tamiya paint. Then added to the vehicle and dusted with tea leaves, then I took a jeans pocket cut it into strips and dipped into tamiya paint. This was then stuck into little cuts in the dry netting. snipersmudge and rbaer thanks lads.
