Leon - Thanks for the comment, but man, you scared me there with the part about starting 2014! I seriously had to think about it, but this is actually my 2nd build for the year. I finished up that SIG 33 15cm back in late January. Whew! I will admit, though, this one has be a long time coming, especially since it's basically out of the box. T - This is one huge tank to paint. At 11.75", I almost had to break out my heavy duty spray gun! Since these never saw combat I kept the weathering to a minimum and basically only dirtied it up. The track design is nice, but they fit just a bit too snug. You can see the links wanting to pull apart in the front and back pics. There's no way to adjust them and another link would have made them too long. I do like those big plates though. They're really fun to paint. I've actually started another one of these, but on it I want to do a finish on the tracks more like your D9's that we talked about.

Beautiful finish! Lovely camo! Tracks look perfect! Dig the dirt build up around the tracks.
I am so sold... I want to get that kit too. LOL

Andy - Thanks. It's a fun kit to do, even with the few minor problems it has. If Meng had done the full suspension, so that you could realistically model it without the mud skirts, it'd be almost fantastic.
Tobias - Appreciate the comment.

Thanks Dicky. Glad you like it. I tell you, if someone wanted to do a what-if, steampunk style tank, they couldn't go wrong using this thing as the basis for it.

You keep posting that kind of stuff and the guys from Pfiser are gonna come after you to find out why the Viagra sales are dropping off.

Very cool indeed. Some words how you did the camo, please? Let's see... air brush, hand brush ...not enough? Seriously, I used my airbrush to freehand the basic pattern shown in the instructions - at least the 2 parts that were shown. The balance was done mimicking the general feel of the shown portions. After that was done, I went back in with a brush, using the same thinned down paint I had sprayed with, hardening up the lines between the colors. It takes a couple of layers to get the desired coverage. By using the thinned paint you can avoid any brush marks, and come out with something that looks entirely sprayed without the sharp edges of a masked job.

Very nice work on the monster Bob, camo work and weathering really give it that 'heavy' feel IMHO.

Wing-Nut - Don't know how I missed that comment! .... and tell the boys at Pfiser to get ready, my other 2C just got primed today. I'm hoping to have it done for the AMPS Nationals in a few weeks.

Splendid replica of an awkward landship Some of the shots are impossible to tell from the 1:1 counterpart.

Luigi, Anthony, Dupes and Tony Lee - Appreciate all of the comments. Every once in a while something pops out that makes me think that I'm finally getting a handle on this hobby! ....now I just need to figure out the secret of Tony's speed building. Pete - I have used dirt in the past, but this time it was an AK pigment. I was really happy to see how well it turned out in the close up photos.
