News breaking. Firewall, dry fitted, filed, dry fitted etc. at least two dozen times. Eventually attached with a lot of Superglue and clamped until rock solid. That's two hours of my life I won't get back.

Mence, don't get discouraged my friend. The work this far has been outstanding. I've been wrestling with My BTR-152 right from the start. The sense of accomplishment at finishing it up was a good feeling.

Thanks for the encouragement chaps, it is needed I can tell you! I'm really not feeling the love on this, sorely tempted to abandon it. Dicky, the big scale is great for extra detail unfortunately being a 1988 production, it's nowhere near as detailed as say the revell 1/25 Mercury. It has great scope for super detailing if the urge takes you.. Engine started, fit is dodgy at best, evidence of filler here and there, this I assure you is the better side.

+1 Karma for staying with it Prof. You know, if it went together with out a hitch you'd be a builder and not a modeler

Jeff, appreciate the Korma mate, this is a real struggle!
Back a bit later with a sort of update.

Ok chaps, not much but once again represents a disproportionately large amount of bench time. Rear suspension, exhaust system and drive shaft cleaned up, stuck and primed, all dry fitted for the benefit of the pic. What are the chances of the headers marrying up with the silencers...

A great job, Mence. Did you already test fit the silencers and yours is a rhetoric question?

Hi Luigi, thank you.
No, not a rhetoric question, judging by the way this kit is going together, I guess the exhausts won't fit.

What are the chances of the headers marrying up with the silencers... based on my auto attempts you have a better chance of walking your land and finding ten million in gold coins. and then getting to keep all of it with taxes waived. sorry buddy just my experience. the work looks clean and crisp. joe
