jackwagon ive found if i make it with the neck on and hold the neck to sculpt it, it causes all kinds of issues with the head moving about when i add or take off or smooth the putty, but if i just make a stalk at the back of the head then my clumpy fingers dont get in the way, its an easy job then to cut off that stalk and fire it and then add the neck and hair after.
Cee Bee will be first but not sure about 1/48, its bad enough doing 1/16,

Looks spectacular. I'm just about to sit down and try the same in 1/35. I'll borrow/steal your idea about using the "stem".
Too much hair on that one guy. It covers up the exceptional work done on the face.
