sculpted head second go

Hi all, ive had to put Boudicca to one side again as im on with another sculpt, ive been having a go at sculpting me own heads, ive done 200mm before with some success but never 120mm so i thought it was about time. The problem i had before was that it was to freakin small for me ham fingers, so ive changed it around a bit and hold the head by a piece of sculpy at the back, that way when its comlete i can just cut it off, fire i and then add the neck later. Anyway heres a few pics of my third attempt let me know what you think













Obviously still the neck, hair and any facial fuzz that i decide to add but ill do that after its fired

jackwagon ive found if i make it with the neck on and hold the neck to sculpt it, it causes all kinds of issues with the head moving about when i add or take off or smooth the putty, but if i just make a stalk at the back of the head then my clumpy fingers dont get in the way, its an easy job then to cut off that stalk and fire it and then add the neck and hair after.

Cee Bee will be first but not sure about 1/48, its bad enough doing 1/16,

Thanks for the comments guys, heres a few pics of the second go, ive made the jaw a bit narrower and tried to add a bit of character to him as well, ill add some hair to this one and see what its like when its finished

Just thought id do a few variations on the head

So first up is shoulder length hair and beard







Looks a bit like my old history teacher

Next we have short cropped hair and goatee and tash







next is modern style.......ish






And finally we have either, ancients or medieval or ..........jesus

Looks spectacular. I'm just about to sit down and try the same in 1/35. I'll borrow/steal your idea about using the "stem".

Too much hair on that one guy. It covers up the exceptional work done on the face.
