Hey Fellas, thanks so much. Im gettin close to the finish. I need to finish the Planes, attach Radar (i broke it off ), fix MG barrels, some touchups and weathering in spots. Ive added water ripples and i now need to add the wake in the rear and some water effects around the Hull. The water looks a bit purple in the photos but its not. Camera trick i guess. ACW. Gary

Impressive work here Gary! The water effects in particular have just enough randomness to them to be very realistic.

Very nice work on both the ship and the water. Might have to get me the BB59 kit since the real thing is right down the road.

Ive added water ripples and i now need to add the wake in the rear and some water effects around the Hull. Gary - care to elaborate on those water ripples? I'm sort of picturing some wand-waving and *POOF* ripples appear.

I'm sort of picturing some wand-waving and *POOF* ripples appear. Dupes, that is exactly my method bro....took practice though! Heres the materials and a tutorial i followed. I painted the base Midnight Blue using cheap artist Acrylics from Walmart. When dry i sealed that with Future Gloss. After a couple days i poured on EnviroTex lite 2-part Clear Gloss. The Envirotex is self leveling and cures in about 72hrs to a mirror smooth surface. ill use Liquitex Medium Acrylic Gloss Gel to do the Water ripple effects over the glossed base. eti-usa.com/envirotex-lite/Tutorial: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vol7P8oHAk4Thanks for the kind words fellas.
