thanks guys. wait till you see it on the base! it came out much better than i thought it would. cant wait for the toolbox to arrive so i can finish it

Well its almost done. just waiting on the tools to get here. Its got a tool box but not sure im going to use it. if i do i might stack it on top of the smaller tires. but we will see. going to put some on the mechanics mat and on the floor by the brake assembly. i also adjusted the wing a bit so its not as crooked. unfortunately thats part of overything not lining up and cant do much about it. but its looks straighter now. I kept the body weathering minimal as they keep the cars pretty meticulous. This is right after a race, maybe in between so they havent had time to clean it yet. im happy with it. thanks everyone who stuck around. i really do appreciate it. ill take nicer photos once i get the tools in there. although, its REALLY hard to capture all the details and subtle things i did. Maybe ill invest in one of those fold up photo boxes and a nice bright light.

here we go.. comments and crits welcome(although its kinda done, so crits will be applied to future models )

thanks. and yeah, even todd said he hadnt seen that. i woulda thought maybe if it wasnt fixed and was riding on the gloss coat it would just all slide down as one. but maybe cause i used microset and it softens them that contributed to it. luckily it was just the one so i can hide it. itll be my secret if i ever enter it into a show. haha

so the toolbox came in. its actually really nice. im surprised at the detail with it being photo etch. the wire cutters even have angled blades. how about that! finally can wrap this up and enter it in MOTM

Heres the toolkit in case anyone wanted to see it. im really impressed with it. Theres quite a bit of detail.






Here is one of the tools ( i painted a few of the handles) See where the wire cutter is? its even got the angled cutter. really nice tools.
