1/72 Airfix Mosquito
Hey fellas,
Not started yet but probably be at it and have an update tomorrow evening if not sooner.
1st Update!!!
Thanks for stoppin by my friends!
Got both halves glued, but with a bit of warpage i had to go ahead and putty a bit of the bottom fuselage and sand smooth so i did the top as well. Now ive cut the nose off to attatch the MK.XVIII nose.
I would have the engines attached by now, but the fit is off pretty bad and im not sure yet where im gonna have to tweak it to fit. Not to worry though, im havin fun with this and mojo is full on! Im feelin pretty squirrely and plan on doin the ship next AND some water effects!
Thanks a bunch my brothers! Despite ALOT of Sanding, carving, grinding and cursing i managed to get the wings to fit to the fuselage.
Dont need to much more build and this Moskeeter will be ready to prime!
Build done & Primer applied, except props and antenna. Antenna was brken on the sprue so im sortin that out. Next preshade and basecoat.
Primer
Pre shade and base color on! Have no idea if the paint is accurate, but thats what i got.
Got the camo on. Not 100% happy with it asi have some touch ups to do...masked with silly putty and got some inconsistent edges here and there. Its my fault though, i got cocky cause it was goin smooth on the masking so i overlooked some places that needed a tweak before i painted. Anyhoo.....
Detail paint, Gloss and decs... TADA!!!
Hey fellas, Pin wash and Dullcoat applied!
Gonna let is cure a couple days before i start weathering.
Ive Finished the props and sprayed a light grey filter on the skeeter instead of doin the oil fading. The canopy has been dipped in Future and is drying.
Well, Im nearly finished. Canopy Future gloss dip is dry and its ready to paint, ive attached the antenna and then ill add the antenna wire and she be done!
Well, i got the antenna wire on. Since i dont have a masking set, im maskin in steps.... mask a bit, paint, dry, and repeat. Almost done, but decided to post a small update.
Hey Fellas, The Mosi is DONE!!!
All Comments & Critiques welcome! Thanks for following along my beloved Brothers.
