Sooo, finally German customs have released my book! Great find, thanks for the tip Andy. Though I have to say, it's a little incomplete. Nowhere a trace of this in it: I'm going to show you in the Diorama section soon! LOLOLOLOLOL Maybe the second edition will have one of those? Hope you liked it... it has been very helpful for my current build and I will study the pictures closely again when my 232 is ready to be weathered. Absolutely no time at the bench at all... returned to New York for another wedding last weekend but its last trip for a while!

Mojo coming back... S-L-O-W-L-Y! Boys have returned to school this week so schedule is back to norm I hope... found way back to my bench last night and I was really in good mood this time. Three hours... stowage painted. Different colors?!?!? WHY NOT!! DAK arrived Africa at short notice unprepared and they were loosing so they were desperate to use anything they find especially enemy's stuff. Highlight the stowage is next...

Looking nicely Andy.
Not to forget the Cyrenaica sun was hitting everything merciless. DAK uniforms where kind of khaki green when they were new and could become bleached almost to white from the intense light alone!
What the soldiers in the pictures wear are not different uniforms, but different stages of wear-out.

Tobi- Thanks my friend! Definitely will be heavy faded... painted base coat just for now. I hope to paint more on the stowage tonight... at Boy Scouts meeting now. Like you said earlier in the DAK book, it was amazing how to see how faded colors were that they looked so light.. tan or white! Desertrat- Glad you liked it... figured it was overdue for your "desert" fix. LOL Thanks buddy! Robbo- Hope it stays that way... say prayers for me and of course drink one or two to help me! Thanks mate!

The colorful spots totally add to the Gypsy like appearance some DAK vehicles had and as such already give a somewhat Mediterranean/North African impression! Maybe you should paint one blanket even with stripes!
I think the most difficult part will be to make a coat of dust, thick enough to make it look realistic, but without loosing the contrasts.

Guys, thank you so much... you guys keep me motivated. This week at work is CRAZY... I take break and stop by here to keep my sanity! LOL Tobi- LOL! Exactly! Keep in mind DAK arrived Africa unprepared so they took anything that they could use. Even their enemies supplies I put down US supplied tent on the front if you have noticed. I need to paint it darker next... weathering can be tricky. Wish me luck... thanks my friend! Dupes- I know... hoping I can make a lot of process before my 12 days trip to Maine and Connecticut in three weeks! Thanks man! Bill- But USS Indy has been screaming my names lately... help me! LOL Thanks buddy! Rat- Thanks buddy... looking forward to four days weekend as I think I am going to take the day off from work on Friday so maybe I will have extra bench time. Say prayers for me will you? LOL Thanks again!
