Hi Guys,

thought I'd move this over to here.

Airfix have still not delivered the replacement clear parts, I called Customer Services today as it's been 6 weeks and all they could do was email the spares department, who don't have phones apparently  

So still stuck with this..

Quick recap,

Cockpit so far

Seats and IP

and where were before we went into the holding pattern

hopefully the Big A will come good soon as I'm stuck without usable clear parts...

Here's a real quick update for you.

The clear parts from Airfix arrived while I was unwell. They didn't look great TBH but upon closer inspection and the fact that the BigA sent two sets meant that I could get a set ( best ones picked from both new sets) on the fuse.

Fixed 'em with superglue and white glue.

Gave the front of the frame a coat of black to give the insides of the clear parts a black finish then a coat of white.

I'm going to spray the day-glow orange and black panels next. Then mask these for the silver.

I know this is 180 from how the real thing was done but I'm sure I'll ruin the silver finish if I mask over it.

Nice to see this one flying again Sam! I think you're on the right track with your paint plan...would hate to see that metallic silver lift on you after you'd done all those other steps!
