Hello Folks,
In an effort to salvage some of the content from MHISC, I will bring over the individual remaining entrants for the Wingy Challenge and their builds to MSC in case they wish to continue to participate in the contest.
If you are one of the contestants and you wish to revive you build and have this content under you own name as the Thread Originator, simple follow the same instruction for moving posts from one forum to MSC outlined HERE and you can start a new thread and easily copy and past the information into the new thread. Any questions, please do not hesitate to PM me and I can help you through the process.
Cee Bee's Entry
As my first entry into this GB,I have this recently released little beauty...
Here be sprue shots, and to me,there is some nice detail for a Braille
kit...I'll just post all the shots, and I'll try to answer any
questions,OK?...
Detail shots...
For
a 1/72 kit this appears to be fairly well detailed, and if Airfix recent
offerings are anything to go by,this will be a sweet little kit to
throw together!
Gentlemen, thanks for joining me! Jeff, just for you mate.......
Gary,This bird had a 37 litre,2210 HP,Napier Sabre engine in the nose mate,so yes it were darn quick for it's time..
Robbo,I
have to sort of agree with you there mate.It was rather overshadowed by
the Spit and the Hurri, and didn't REALLY hang about too long, before the
Tempests came along. From what I can gather, there is only one Tiffy in
existence now,up at the RAF Museum at Hendon.
It was not good as a
fighter, but load it with 3 inch rockets, and use it against ground
targets,it was the scourge of the Panzers!!!
Steve,you'll
like this little beaut....some minor fit issues(Mainly of my own
making,I think!!),but as you saw in the piccies, the detail ain't too
bad....
Right, sorry chaps,I got carried away this morning, and forgot to take progress pics.....but I'm here now.....
A little bit of putty was applied in a couple of seams, again mainly my fault I think ,and don't be dismayed by the look of the wing roots, they ARE a lot better than they look!!
