Hey everyone! Here's the skinny on the decals. The Furball decals provided with the kit are by far the best decals I've had the pleasure of working with. In warm water the decals come loose within 2 minutes and when decal softener was applied, one coat was needed except on the stars and squadron ID, a second coat for those. Now one thing If you are prone to P.T.D.D. ( Post Traumatic Decal Disorder) this will give you the shakes. Easily 200+ decals are on this kit, but when all is said and done, they make a outstanding looking model! Oh! There is one SNAFU with the decal directions. Decal number 75 on the access door markings is miss labeled on the decal sheet. 74 is used twice, but the directions are clear enough so that you will be able to tell the difference between decals 74 and 75. Umm bottom pics got erased from camera but will be seen in finished shot.......sorry :-\ Here are the upper pics!

It's me, I'm back again! HAHA!! The Phantom is officially done! But before I get into that I forgot to mention the ejection seats. Eduards Brassin seats are very well done. Instead of the usual brass belts, Eduard supplies a fabric set! If you are used to these they can be a bit frustrating, all the strap adjusters, clasp's and attaching points are separate. But once you have them together and glued in place the results are worth it! There is also a small amount of PE to be placed on the seats, ejection handles, placards etc. On to the finish, the panels were done with MM Gunship gray, after looking at a ton pics, all of the Phantoms in this color scheme had gray to dark gray lines. Tried black just to see if I would like it.......not I liked the gray alot better. Inside the wheel bays and on the gear I used AK Streaking Grime, thought I went a little to heavy at first but when all was dry I think it came out ok. Now my one oops was I decided to give it a seal coat using some Poly scale flat clear. Well I think it was part of the patch I heard about, that when it dried it left a white film, but after letting it sit, and this totally by accident, she looks like the paint if faded a bit! As a whole this kit when finished is pretty darn good! If I had to give it a grade I'd give it a B+.
