Hypothetical situation.(but not really )... You want to paint the roundels on a Brit plane. You are up to the part you need to paint the blue. You go to the hobby shop and buy a jar of_______. Can someone fill in that blank? If been tinting different blues with all sorts of stuff trying to get close to the blue on a WNW decal sheet. Is there n off the shelf color that comes close?

Nothing cheeky about it. That was my first thought too but it's too dark. I tried lightening and tinting it but that didn't work. I screwed up the rudder decal on one of the Snipes I am working on and I am trying to get the blue closer to the HUGE roundels on the wings so it's less obviously wrong.

If you can scan the decal sheet and pick out the RGB color codes, it might help in identifying a match. I used this method to map out a bunch of Gunze and Tamiya paints last year. doogsmodels.smugmug.com/Bench/Paint

Hey guys thanks for the responses. I have not been on the boards much the past couples of weeks.
Dupes, yeah I know that can of worms. That's the can labeled, "The Right Color". I don't get into those. My intention was to see if anyone already had color they had used in the past. Nice info at those link.
Doogs... what a good idea. thanks or that.
