Looking forward to seeing you build this one Tobias. I heard that the Takom tracks, if you make them workable, have over 1000 pieces all by themselves...but you can choose a 'non-workable' option that significantly reduces that parts count.

I´ll choose the no-workable Option, that´s for sure.

The other Option is the better one when it Comes to the tracks. So I´ll build both.

Is any of the drive train visible after assembly? I guess if you want to show thrown track it might be nice detail.

Yes it is. I will build mine a Little damaged into the no mens land, so this kit is perfect for this.

I see that Takom are making tracks which are "pre-removed from sprues"! Sounds interesting: It's a shame they didn't do these for the kit instead of making them an extra cost option.

Couple weeks ago I was THIS close to buying the old Emhar kit because I've wanted to build a MKIV since I was a kid. Glad I didn't. Can't wait to see how this goes together, sure you'll work your usual magic.
Cheers

I used a lot of filler and now it Looks "ok". But it´s a WWI tank, so I´ll add a lot of scratches and dirt.

Sorry to hear it's putting up a fight Tobias, seems that the Takom subjects can be good/bad depending on the kit in question. Shame as they seem to have rushed this one out in a couple of areas, probably due to the pressure from Tamiya's release.

That´s right. It´s the same with the tracks. After some bad post in the Internet, Takom will offer some better tracks soon. Maybe the Tadpole will be better.

well I now feel your pain, I bought both versions today and started to work on them. it needs careful fitting before you glue.
