Hi folks I hope it's ok if I join this group build. This kit is a joy to build and light years ahead of the old Emhar. The hardest part so far was cleaning up all the wheels. Not hard really, and the motor switch hole was filled. Just a little work for the rivet counter. Still some work to do, Thanks for following! Cheers JT

Off to a great start JT...all those wheels to remove and clean up is worth it though. Looking forward to seeing this one come together.

Thanks for info and pics on this looks really good ........ Are the guns as good as I think they look, not really into into these things but there a little dio that I have in mind where they would be ideal.
Look forward to seeing you paint it ....... Go on give the people a treat and post photos of your earlier tank

Hi Gordon I haven't checked the accuracy of the 6 pounder guns, they seem quite complete. No breach is included of the Lewis machine guns, and theres no other interior detail apart from the doors. I just tried to add a photo of the old one I did, photobucket is having trouble and I cant link images. I will try again soon, sorry mate.
Cheers JT

Nice clean build John. I like some of the newer Tamiya kits, but the prices are way too high when you consider other companies go for around the same price, supply PE,metal barrel and indi links.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with this one.

Thanks Rob, good to have to along for the build! Photobucket seems to be working now, this is the old Emhar kit with some improvements. Even then it was not accurate, but short of doing a lot of scratch work this was as good as I could get it. Cheers JT

Hi Tobias sorry to keep you waiting. Thanks Andy, that was the one, cheers! The build is pretty much finished. Parts for a static model are included in the kit, such as sprockets and idlers but not shown in the instructions. And no axles but interestingly the sprues are just the right diameter. The idlers were not glued until the tracks were fitted and could be tensioned by moving and fixing the axles. The unditching beam rails needed pin holes filled and I thinned down the visable edge. And the I thought the tracks needed to sit a little higher across the top run so some styrene was added. That's it for now! Cheers JT

Looks pretty! But I just saw the price over on Sprue Brothers yesterday and about swallowed my tongue!
Think I'll be springing for the Takom. Maybe both of them.

Nice to see this one moving along again JT. The stateside prices for these guys are definitely sticker-shock inducing, no question about that! Looking forward to seeing more on this one.

Hi folks, I didn't get this finished before the group build end date. But I'm still going.... Some friends on facebook thought it would be a good idea if I videoed the paint process for this. Er... ok So here are the first few, I hope you find them interesting. Just a about minute and a half each.

Video working just fine. LOVE that painting thingy you mounted the vehicle on. I'll be making one of those for sure. Since part 1 was so good, I am looking forward to part 2.

That's looking good in the vids so far, John. I tell you though, you're really going to have to work overtime to beat the finish you put on that Emhar kit!
