Returning (somewhat) from a fairly long absence. Wanted a project that I could get to the painting stage with fairly quickly, and found this 75% built in my stash. Spent the evening finishing it,and gave pre-shading a go for the first time. Here's pics of how it currently is (complete with extra front armor plate): I think it turned out fairly well for a first attempt at the technique. More to come soon.

Haven't been able to work on this this past week (1st week of school), buy I had some time today, and got some more done. Original plan was to do whitewash, but I recently found out that there is a model show on next weekend in my town (literally a 5 min walk), so I'm going to try and get it done in time for that. PICS (side skirts/road-wheels not shown): EDIT: I know the suspension's not perfectly flat (kepy breaking during assembly, had to superglue), I'll be putting it on a contoured dirt base to make up for that .

Looks like you've got it headed in the right direction Oliver, keep it up! The only way to expand your horizons is to try new things.

Thanks guys! Really happy how this turned out . Was able to get to the hobby show today, lots of fun. Won a 65' ranchero, a dodge viper, and a paintbrush stand (show was more car oriented ), and also bought an old monogram(?) 1:48 b29 for $15. Should be a fun project.

I remember building that B-29 kit as a kid and hanging it from my ceiling. It's a fun and big old bird!
