Hi guys, I recently acquired a fellow modeler's kit stash of nearly 90 kits and have slowly been working my through the kits to see what condition they are in. One of those kits was a 2002 Trumpeter Kit the Sukhoi Su-15 Flagon-A which unfortunately had no Instruction Sheet inside the box. Sadly it was misplaced or lost in the many years this fellow has had the kits. I have been searching for days on the net trying to find a copy of the instructions but to no avail, even the Trumpeter site was a dead end for me. I sent out a couple of emails, one to the Australian Distributor but the email came back as invalid address and one to a Mr. Wang who was also on their contact list but have had no response which maybe my fault as I don't speak Chinese. So I was hoping that if someone here could point me in right direction as to where I could obtain a copy or maybe someone has the very same kit in their stash or has built it in the pass and just maybe by the good graces has kept the instruction sheet. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it. Cheers Sabre

Hmmmm...I should have the UM (2-seater) kit down in the basement. Wouldn't be exaaaaactly what you need, but probably close enough? I'll poke around and see if I can dig up some instructions.

Thanks Dupes, I had read that the kit has some fit issues and inaccuracies like the air brakes being too small and the nose cone being too long, etc, etc... so I was a bit reluctant to even build this kit without the instruction sheet. Plus I knew there were a few differences between the SU-15 Flagon A, SU-15 TM Flagon F and the Su-15 UM Flagon G. With the main differences being the SU-15 Flagon A having the straight delta wings, single nose wheel, a RP-11 'Oriol D' Radar and rear intakes above the engines. The SU-15 TM Flagon F and SU-15 UM Flagon G have the cranked delta wings, twin nose wheels, a smaller Taifun RP-26 Radar and did away with the rear intakes so I never thought to check out the other kits Dupes. I came across this site when I did www.super-hobby.com/ and I notice only a few differences in the sprues. These are mainly the parts that changed between the different versions of the SU-15 like the nose wheel and rear intake but other than that it looks the same Dupes so thank you for pointing me in that direction mate. If you do happen to come across it Dupes and can scan it into PDF file an email to me, that would be great. If not I should be able to work off those instructions on that site. Edit added some pictures. Here are some of the differences. Trumpeter's 1/48 Scale Sukhoi Su-15 Flagon-A Sprues For illustration purposes only. Sprue E parts 20-29 off the Flagon G Kit are not included in the SU-15 Flagon A Kit and I'm guessing they are added details for the cockpit. Sprue B for the Flagon G has the extra wheel of course but it also looks as if the front landing gear is somewhat different and parts 21,22 are replaced with rear intakes on the Flagon A kit but other than that it all looks the same. and sorry for the poor picture quality... I should of kept the flash on (amazing how blue & grey turns to brown without it). Plus here's a interesting article on a Trumpeter 1/48 Sukhoi Su-15TM 'Flagon-F' build.

Looking forward to seeing you crack into this one!! Instructions are more of a "guideline" anyway...who needs em? Enjoy!

Did they pan out alright? I can't imagine there's much more than one small sprue of different bits.
