Superior work there, Deano +1+1... I must recognize that I like very much the very wide possibilities that the 1/72 brings, just for small dios, vignettes and so... also, some brand throw to the stores small marvels in details... IMHO this scale allows you to tell more complex tales, more variated compositions that the 35th, but boy, as you say, I end with eye strain (and that even using lately a head 4X magnifier)... How are you going to name the dio? "End of Zitadelle" or so?? By the way, what brand are the figures? Preiser?? Later, Deano, VG job there, ah? Jelly

Thanks Andy and Jelly , I do like this scale for telling a bigger story without to much display area disappearing . I might call this 'Kursk and Bust ! ' lol ... I use TDQ castings for the mainstay but do convert from different brands . Anyhoo weathering on the base is complete , the summer dusty road is done ! Nearly finished fella's!

Oh man, now it is really telling us a GREAT story... you didn't have to tell us anything. Can't wait to see it with figures next...

Unbelievable!!! This looks like a dio in 1:35 or bigger. Great work! I love the details, like the flag, too.

Excellent ground work Deano, this is 1:72?! I have a lot of respect for you guys tackling the small scale stuff, very hard to distinguish this from a 1/35er! Good luck with the figures mate, can't wait to see the end result!!

Masterwork Deano, you are Mr. 1:72 and play here directly beside Alex Clarke. Love the colour combination, the dusty feeling on the Base, all in all absolute stunning. STUNNING (have to write it in capital letters!)

Thanks fella's , dunno if Im quite Alex Clark standard but I endeavour to do my best in this scale . I have always like diorama's and feel this scale gives you many more options without having to see the bank manager . Panzer dude is still getting painted ....had a lot on this week seeking new employment

Perfect job with that dio. Looks like a "big one". The grass has the perfect size, too.
