Could someone please explain what the zimmerit is for? Zimmerit was some sort of paste that was put on the tanks to prevent magnetic mines attaching to it. It was spread manually, so the look was uneven. Also it was dented in strange patterns to reduce its weight.

I'm a bit busy today but hope to at least get the rest of the zimmerit on tonight. I also want to add small caliber inpacts and maybe some larger ones. this will be basic simple OOTB stuff that any one can do, even with an old dog of a kit. The painting will also liven it up.

almost forgot. If anyone is going to be trying this while I do it, let me know if I need to slow down and also ask any questions you may have. I am more than willing to guide anyone along the way, as this is what I do almost weekly per email with people.

Er, sorry for the late reply bud, been busy doing forum stuff.
It might be tough since the arms are glued. If it's a rubber wheeled Tiger you can remove the rubber for a burnt look and it will drop the hull a bit. Also if it's without tracks then you can imbed the tank, more rear area, in the ground for a weighted effect.
I am working on the wheels at the moment after taking a couple days off to take care of other things. I decided to not go with the resin burnt wheels, for two reasons. first, the rims are so thin they damage too easy and ruin the wheel. second, I think they were meant for a Tamiya Panther or old Dragon kits. The holes are too big for the JP arms. I am simply removing the rubber off most of the wheels to the rim and not worrying about being exact with the recess.

Not a prob, boss!!! take your time... still need to finish the inscale rust and dust... and I got the late Tiger, so no rubber wheels, have to look for a base also for this one. Take your time.
