I have lots of projects running again (time to finish something) and here you can see a Saxxon Warrior, sculpted by Raoul Latorre. It is very barbarian, like Conan if you wish, and was painted so far in Vallejo acrylics. Lots of layerings have to be done and the Base must be create (this will be some kind of forest stuff with lots of plants). I love Latorres sculpting style, it is sad, that we see so little done by him these days... I think, finishing him till the end of the year, together with all those other projects, will be a bit tricky, but hopefully it will work. Frank

Got to love that look of determination on his face for sure Frank, looking forward to more on this one when you can get it in.

Thanks guys! I guess a clean paintjob did not go with this figure. As a front vet he seems to be he will get that front treatment!

Hi Frank! So caught last weeks, I really missed such a wonderfull topic. I know the figure, I have too his "friend", Saxon Chieftain. Too bad that Raul Latorre can't find another means to reedit these wonderful figures. I post here a link to a friend work, a very beautifull project with the two figurines. Hope to like it! www.cartula.ro/forum/topic/12574-saxonii/page__view__findpost__p__189223Cheers! Nicolae

Nicolae, how great is this work!! Painting and Base are top notch, but the second figure rocks it away! The FACE, did he sculpt it or used some kind of replacement head?? ARGH, this must be described in english. Absolute fantastic work, I love it a lot and thanks for the link! Did Raoul sculpt these days new figures? For a long time I haven´t seen something new from him...
Glad you liked the warrior! It is time to move on on him!

Nico, to my knowledge the Saxon Chief wasn´t done as a figure kit...? If so, who did it, have never seen it. Zeno is a very very high skilled painter; his Basework is a blast, too. Thanks a lot for the cool links, it is always impressive to see such work and inspirational like hell! And, heck, I enjoyed it, you bet!!
