Watching the 1940 Ford that JohnT was building go together wound me up to build a rust bucket of my own. I'm not nearly as good as JT, but I do try.
I'll be working from the Revell 1950 Ford F-1 kit. Got started yesterday and have gotten this far.
There is obviously a long way to go, but it's a start. As always, comments, suggestions, criticism and friendly ridicule welcome.

Looking pretty good... it takes a lot of practice to be as good as JT. Am afraid my first attempt won't be as good as yours!!!

Made some progress over the last day or so. The body is pretty close to ready. It will probably receive a bit more weathering as the build progresses, but for the time being I wanted to stop so as not to go too far with the weathering.
As always, comments welcome. I'll be moving on to the chassis, engine and interior now. Will post again as appropriate.

Got some more progress to report.
The chassis is close to done. It was aged using clear flat acryl and real rust. I also used Bragdon powders. There is still detailing to be done.
The body is also well along toward being finished.
That's it for the next week or so. Seems a new great-granddaughter arrived last night and G-Gramma says we are going to get acquainted. See you in a couple of weeks.

Showing my age and senility I guess!!
Notice the slant to the drive shaft? Seems that I installed the rear axle upside down. How's that for embarrassing?? Took about two hours to remove the axle, reinstall it and repair the damage. Oh, well s**t happens.

Thanks guys. Appreciate all the kind comments. Turns out the chassis actually looks better after the repairs. I'll post some photos next week. Thanks again.
