Hi Tobias, you are lucky man to own this kit; it is going to be a treat for you to paint, I hope it brings you hours of pleasure.
I believe this model is based an illustration by Fortunino Matania called "Rage Against the Machine". If you Google Fortunino Matania you will find some pretty amazing black and white illustrations from WW1.
Have a great time with this and please keep posting WIP's
