Due the limited space in my showcase left to build models in 1/32 despite having 4 or 5 models, new, and sealed inside the boxes. I resolve to build a model for a friend of mine while participating in a GB. The model is the P-40 from Hasegawa in 1/32 scale. Versions of the model. If I can get other decals will make a different version. These decals do not like me much. Regards ajcmac

Thank you for following. I started building the model preparing parts of the interior and the landing gear wells for the painting. I painted the instrument panel. Regards ajcmac

Oh wow. Did you glue the two tail pieces together desperately and then attached the assembly to the forward fuselage?
I read a tip in a build that gluing the separate halves to their respective fuselage half was a better idea. That's what I wound up doing and didn't need hardly any filler.

Jimmy Glued separate the two halves of the fuselage. Finished the wells of the landing gear. I glued the fuselage and then very putty much sandpaper. Then applied putty diluted in acetone to check for errors. Regards ajcmac

Looks like you're whipping this one into shape AJ, coming together with some TLC to help smooth things along.

I love all the shadowing and highlighting you're doing with the paint, as well as the weathering and chipping inside the cockpit. It looks like a lot of difficult work. But the results are well worth the effort.

Thank you all for following . Slightly saturated so much putty and sandpaper (miss me yet more putty along the canopy but I will only do when I get the mask from Eduard which should arrive by the end of next week) I decided to start painting the model. Azure Blue - a mix of Tamiya paints. Regards ajcmac

Just coming in on this one and really like what I see going on here. Nice work. God job on the fuselage. Oh wow. Did you glue the two tail pieces together desperately There a lot of desperation when I start gluing. Loos like ajcmac handled it just fine. But I agree Jimmy...I like making to full halves 1st. Easier join that way.

AJ, making great progress. Props and the fading have always befuddled me in getting the wear look right. Mind if I ask to share how you accomplished the weathering variations on your prop blades? Awesome build.
