Hello Everybody.
I was at the MMSI show Saturday and saw the bust from Mitches Military Models "Promise to Return". I had to get it.
It has been a while since painting larger scale figures, but this one really talked to me.

Thanks guys. This is a really nice piece. There was very little cleanup needed. I got some primer on last night, and started base coating things today.   |

Hello guys, While I was waiting for glue and paint o dry on Katy, I managed to get this one basically base coated. i am guessing I will start the shading and detail painting in a few days.  Thanks for looking in |

Thanks Andy. I know all about the eyes. I just have to get them right (which will probably take me a while).
There is still a little ache in my sciatics, but it isn't too bad.

I think you made a good job. Mmaybe some details could be improved, but the general aspect is impressive!

Hello everybody. I am in the midst of losing my mojo on the B-25. I decided to put a little more paint on this one (after about six months). I still have more flowering to do on her dress and shawl, but I am kind of liking it so far.  I am hoping to have more to share tomorrow. Thanks for looking in. |

Hey Bruce, this looks fab! Great Bust and the paintjob is well done, too! But how cool it would be to have this pair as a full scale figure! Such themes are very underrepresented, sadly, because of the emotional impact! When I master my humans a little bit more, I have some interesting stuff to come up with!

You're right about having full figures on this sort of subject.

Hand painting flowers lets stay me away from some Samurai figures with their kimonos and uniforms. But it would look great to do one. Maybe a Samurai Zombie, overload with arrows but still living. Hey, sounds like a cool idea...

Thanks guys. I think it took me longer to get the courage up to paint them than it actually did to put the paint on. I still need to do a bit of highlighting on both of them, but I think they are heading in right direction.   I'm hoping to have more to show in a few days. Thanks again for following. |
