Bruce, amazing details on the woman textiles! You're right, some mode lights and you could put an end to a beautifull project. Cheers, Nicolae

Thanks guys. I have absolutely no idea what got me charged up on this one again, but I am not complaining. I should have more to show soon.

Thank you kindly. I started toning the flowers down a little with some pastels. It looks better, but just doesn't show up in pictures. I hope to have something to actually show in a few days.

Could it be an interesting idea to put some tears in the eyes of the woman? To enhance the emotional factor?

Thanks. I need to figure out how to have her mascara running slightly without making her look like a raccoon. I think I will try some pastels. that's what I used for the rest of her makeup.

WHEN a racoon, please ROCKET RACOON!
Pastells seems to be perfect for that.

Hello all. I have made a little more progress. I still need to fix a little of the pastels on he upper lip, but I kind of like the result. Model master clear worked very nicely for a tear. Hopefully, I'll have more to show very soon. Thanks for looking in.

Hello everybody. Somehow I managed to get inspired on this one, and I am calling them finished. It was kind of funny. They sat for about six months, then I was done with them in about a week. As always, I really do appreciate your input and compliments. Thanks for looking in.

Thank you Leon. Believe it or not, this was the first time I tried painting a woman. It was interesting to say the least, but now I won't have to try to figure it out again.

Excellent work on this one Bruce! The contrast between the woman's clothing/colors and the soldier's uniform makes it a very poignant juxtapose with the overall finish.

Thank you Bill. I wasn't sure what direction this one was going in until about a week ago. I guess I have to stop overthinking things and just paint.

Thanks Bud. The flesh tones are a mix of Testors Model Master enamel and oils. The oils slow the dry time of the enamel, and the enamels speed up the oils. The mix really blends well.
