Hello fellas,
Months ago I've built this one, Bronco's Comet A34 Main Battle Tank.
I've never started a build log on it, but I hope this thread will be OK for you too...
1) This is damage of Law ammunition on a Comet tank.
2) This photo shows how easy it is to remove the 'rubber' of the wheels.
3) Drilling the holes and checking the Friul tracks.
4) The wheels were damaged too, with a burnt effect here and there.
5) Photo etched parts were an improvement here.

6) To copy the references I had to remove things.
7) The usual to do stuff, copper wire made hinges.
8) Removing more molded on details.
9) What's left of the fenders, made of styrene.
10) Let's drill some more Law holes !
11) Turret corrections were made as were weld seams.
12) Time for paint...the base rust color.
13) Rust color oil washes were then added to the turret, and rust color pigments were dabbed into the wet surface.
14) After overnight drying it was time for fun...rubbing and picking away the top layer.
15) I tried to create a range of rust effects.
16) Rubber was done with Flat Black.
17) To create very realistic rust effects I rolled the burnt wheels over pigments on a piece of paper.
18) Weld seams were painted silver with Humbrol.
19) A simple base was made for the Comet, I chose a sloping and grassy surface.
20) Details of the rusty zones.
21) And after a long time I've decided to add bushes and small trees to the base.
22) Almost there, still a bit of plants to add.
