OK, now, after a few days left on the floor of time and the setting of my blood pressure in far more normal regions, I am able to write something. But what? Praising your build above all thats done before I have done a thousand times. Putting you on a pedestal in the hall of fame of all scratch builders (where you belong) is something you already know and whats left now? Nothing more then my sincerest thanks for coming up with such a great scratch like this thingie here! But do not rest on all the praising, Dude, I expect a complete Nostromo and Sulaco after this here!
Great work, man!!

What are those little brass parts? They look like electronic plugs of some type.

What are those little brass parts? They look like electronic plugs of some type. They are actually gold signal pins from military grade electronic connectors. I've got your little greebly gift package (that incudes said connectors) here by my bench but no time to post it, lately, i remembered it about three weeks ago and packed it full of, i hope, some interesting do-dads I will get it to you i promis mate. Don't worry too much. I've got at least 4 or 5 weeks before I'm ready to start work on the Star Wars Quadjumper. There's only one good reference for this vehicle, so I'll be able to use a lot of imagination in filling up the mysterious parts.
The Prometheus is looking "beyond words". How the hell are going to paint all that? You're up to 6 or 7 layers of detail on top of detail. (I limit my models to 3 layers. Otherwise it all becomes too crazy.)
I'm still hoping to see you finish the skimmer thing from last year. I quite liked it.

Ello, So whats been happening, not much to be honest, zero hours in June and only 11 in July. Think my mojo was lost. Think i got it back Lets see. Thanks for the positive vibes dudes On with the show So after the detail panels were finished i had to get all the inner walls to the same stage This is the main back support Cut the outer rings Group picture Then started work on the small additional detail panel that i realised i would need to fill a void X4 dry fit Ready for primer made so really small ones again to fill gaps and add depth and interest Then it was time to move on to the nozzel internals Started with small vector actuators This is the vector thrust bulkhead made from a mouthwash two pack carry handle, separated and cleaned up, drilled to receive the actuators Added T and U channel And thats about it so far Did manage to finish my little shuttle launch side project Thats it for now kids Take care Gag

Ello my Peeps Thank you all so much for stopping by and commenting. It really does mean a lot to me, had some demons to deal with the last few weeks with regards to my wrist issue and everyones support helps me struggle through the pain barrier. But, have to be honest, making four of everything is beginning to get get on my breasticles a bit. Why haven't i cast more stuff, well it just don't look good enough to me, and if I'm gunna take all this time i want to be happy with my own methods. Tried the casting route with one piece early on and i wasted a lot of silicone and plastic because it was easier and better to make four originals. You live and learn. I will be casting again in the future i'm sure. But, enough chit chat. PIX What I've done doesn't look like much but its all X4 Did the four internal details on the nozzles Four ready for primer Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Then i needed to get all the main body's to the same level so there was lots of fiddling and swapping bits around to achieve the best fits The white bit is half a truck wheel Here's a group photo of everyone together all at the same stage Had to do a quick dry fit test on the main body Thats about it so far. Obviously still got a looooooooooong way to go. Not sure what to tackle next I will be doing some vac forming i think, need to make a vac former so stay tuned for that doozie. I'm just making it up as i go along, never vac formed before but how hard can it be, right……………….right, guys, hello Guys Gag out
