A really great concept you have around, here and in your other builds. Busy like hell and crisp, full of detail. And the figures you use, are those from that guy in France (?) who makes 3D scans from real people and print them in figures? They are awesome like hell and I guess, I will take some of them, too!
Keep it coming!

PE parts arrives for the hand rails, vertical frame sections and two types ff faces, open mesh and closed. there will/may be a few weapon stations, and this is where the solid screens will be used as well as the rear of the ship. These are standard meshes that the PE company does. Basically £15 for a A4 sheet. These are bound to come in handy for something ! Guess I know what I am doing this weekend!.

That's a spectacular photo at the end there. You could use it as a scalpel advert.

Cheers Prop Duster and Jeremy... you are very welcome to the show!. Just a small update folks, I have been beavering away at the underside and propulsion, will show that in a week or so when I get it where I want it. But have also been doing a little in the bay, where the excavator will be sitting. a bit of scratch building, bits and bobs from the spares box and a splash of primer.
without excavator
without excavator
Thanks for stopping by. Chris.

Cheers Captfue, I am afraid figure painting is at the very bottom of my skill set. I'd love to be able to paint figures and bring in a little life to them.

Cheers wbill76 and martslay, yea moving along !.
got a little more done, this is the central area in the middle of the barge. it will be the mount for the excavator and also have to cables for pulling 'junk' into the bay. cables and wires still to do, but this is the area 'worn up' and weathered a little.
All the best, Chris.

Thanks Leon & Joeylee for the support. In addition to its start/stop nature this build has little structure/logic so I am darting from element to element to gather up a few sub-assemblies that will all come together in the end. The jib being the latest of these elements. Believe it or not when I was priming this I dropped it and it was in 15+ pieces. managed to salvage it and here it is so far. Cables, weathering/chipping and further detail to add. ladder and anti-fall cage unpainted but there just for show at the minute.[/p]
All the best,
Chris.

Is that thing scratch built!!! Do you have any pictures of it during the bare plastic phase? I particularly like the flanges at each of the major joints and the nut/bolt detail at each junction.
