Alright, the P-51B is ready for paint, the F4U-1a is nearing paint and the submersed sub will be starting soon (kits already done) so this is the point I always start thinking of what next. Been wanting to build the Testor's 1/48 Ryan PT-20 as it's just a neat looking plane. So I started doing some poking around and I think I want to do something besides the normal NMF and yellow wings and I present the following options...with my thoughts below the pics. #1 Netherlands ryan_pt20-5 by Hickory Hill Photography, on Flickr #2 RAF ?? Or RAAF??? ryan_pt20-4 by Hickory Hill Photography, on Flickr #3 Netherlands captured by Japanese ryan_pt20-3 by Hickory Hill Photography, on Flickr #4 Non NMF Netherlands (underside might be NMF) ryan_pt20-1 by Hickory Hill Photography, on Flickr #5 Guatamalan Single Seat ryan_pt20-2 by Hickory Hill Photography, on Flickr I originally thought #1 because of the unique scheme, but being a P-51 guy, I have several already in NMF. But it's still a possibility as it's one of my favs in the bunch. #2 Would be a possibility just because it's different and no NMF. #3 Was actually my first thought just because it was different and I hadn't found the others yet. #4 Is on the bottom of this list unless I get overwhelming push for it. #5 Right now is my first choice just because you don't see single seat PT-20. It looks like they just filled in the first cockpit area so no major changes would have to be done to the kit. One place I read said their was a single machine gun on it. I've only seen another model done and they have one on each wing under some bulge on the wing. Would have to find more info on that. I highly suspect this was a NMF as well. Thoughts? Thanks!
