Hi chaps, Its been a while since i have blogged anything on the site been busy trying new techniques and test pieces for a upcoming dio which this Tiger im hoping will be part of it The Tiger im creating is fictional and is set in 1944 around the Villers Bocage area this Tiger has been disabled by a hydraulic torsion bar failure then coming under fire by a advancing allied force thus making the crew abandon the tank i have been controlled with the damage copying ref photos of a Tiger in Italy where a AP round has lodged itself in the MG ball turret and another penetrating round near the drivers vision port which smashed the Bosch light and fitting only other damage is too the turret mantlet Interior Kit parts with a little styrene sheet Battle damage AP round made from styrene tubing and sculpted with knife shell holes made using hot drill bit and glue Zimmerit Using Tamiya putty spread over the desired piece blast with a hairdryer to form a skin on the surface of the putty then make indentations with a small screwdriver Finished build shots Dan B

Really liked the fact that you collapsed the suspension on the one side. That's something you don't see too often.

Rob and Dupes thanks for the comments im slowly learning its all about the small details Deano i know mate nothing wrong with having lots of big kitties the more the merrier AFV Fan my thoughts exactly you see loads of ref pics with the collapsed suspension but rarely modelled maybe some modellers dont notice or even know the suspension used to fail a lot when beaten up thanks for the comment Kaktus thanks for taking the time to comment buddy Deafpanzer nice to be back fella been away from the forums due to mag work and general life it feels good to blog a build again hopefully i wont dissapoint Desert rat it was the 1st Zimm job i have done i suprised myself with the results too thanks for commenting Tobiass thanks for the comment buddy Elco i will be leaving the hatches open i have only the kit interior details to use its pretty dark in the hull so might get away with it Dan b

this is just awfully depressing mate. You seem to build lightning fast and great stuff. I hardly manage to do two a year :/ Well, as a Tigernut, I can only state that this looks great bud. Can't wait to see you do some extra magic on her (well, you already did, love that stuck round)
Cheers
