Hi fella's thought I would see 2014 out with a Panther so why not a revell Panther as I have heard good things about the kit . Anyhoo I have this Topcolors book which has 16 colour plates with decals for all in 3 scales .....guess what my scale is huh? lol... will crack this one over the weekend between work shifts but here are the products...............  If anything needs change it will be scratch built or taken from the spares box  |

Good to see ya T ! I made a small start on this and discovered a few oversights by Revell and I will point these out as the blog goes on ........ anyhoo I have the upper and lower hull parts joined ........  |

Hi Elco , the more the merrier ! ok progress is good even though I have made some changes to the kit already ..........  Construction of upper and lower hull leaves a void above the running gear .... this is not present on the real tank so the plastic card and filler saved the day!  Looks much better IMO .  So with this done I can get on with the running gear as inner wheels are already fitted , Also started the turret so onwards and upwards! |

Thanks guy's , I have to say that for all the praise this kit gets Im really not that inpressed . On looking at the model , some things just dont look right i.e front glacis and gun mantlet . Im gonna let this one ride but doubt I will build another one of these kits OOB . Some heavier changes will be made the next time around |

Hey Andy , no tracks no tank so we have half the tracks for now lol......... I have also been working on the turret and its not far from completion. Ok after much thought I have decided that the front glacis is just to angled making it longer than it should be . Its just glaring at me so Im gonna change my plans with this . I can alter the front but Im too far on with the build now so this Panther is getting knocked out urban style . I can bury most of the glacis with bricks and stuff to cover the boo boo ...... Originally I was going to have five figures on the Panther but thats changed to one Grenadier walking by the ko'd Panther ... Anyhoo less talking and more building eh! |
