Very nice Dupes! Do you consider to airbrush a post shade? In case you will this will looking awesome on the yellow/black base. Haha I broke mine a 873568763485 times and every time glued them back on untill I replaced them for ones with a brass ends. Marcel.

That's a really nice kit, especially considering it's age. The engine actually looks like a flat-head V8.

Thanks guys!
Russ - it's a great kit, actually. Few too many ejector pin marks, but it fits like a glove.
Marcel - I DID hit it with a post shade this morning. Like how it looks!
No pic update yet, but I will tonight. Post shade and drybrushing done, pin washing and chipping next.

Wicked cool, but I really feel like this one should be done by now That's the problem with the precedent that Dupes has set...expectations are high!

Hey now! Can't blame me for the weather. This frigid snap is wreaking havoc with my work schedule. 14 below when I got there this morning...between the diesel trucks not starting and the warehouse pipes freezing all week (plus me forgetting I had an IPMS Chapter meeting last night) I've taken a LOT longer than I wanted on this. Anyway, the quad is done! For what it is - an OOB build of a 40 year old kit - I'm quite happy with how it turned out. Any comments and suggestions always appreciated. One down! 99 to go!

Very sharp build, Dupes.
I particularly like the way you handled the cast-in grill detail with a light overall scheme. That's not easy.

Thanks John!
Yeah, there are a lot of parts on this kit that could use some sprucing up for sure...but that would be an awful lot of work to tackle all of them. Maybe we'll get a new-tooled one someday?

40 year old kit? I'm even more impressed.
Really like the camo. Very unique. Great way to start the year too.
Next.

Super job Marc! But wait... didn't you mention that you'd be finishing multiple builds at a time?? Still waiting... tick tock and all!! Hey, someone has to keep you on task, right? "You can do it, you can do it!" "It's a marathon, not a sprint..." "Get your A$$ down to that bench and BUILD MAN, BUILD!!!!!" Nice work!

Dude. We're a week into 2015. At least give me a MONTH to see what my pace looks like! If I'm behind then, you can chastise me all you want. Thanks everyone! Glad you guys like it. Got a small thing that will be done shortly...checking the weather forecast to see where I can go after that (think "outdoor priming").

Very nice build. I'm on a N. African softskins kick right now so enjoy seeing other builds of vehicles from that theater. Your custom mix of Mike Starmer's mix for light stone looks spot on. And, you're right. You see a lot of British models painted with it but Tamiya's recommendation of XF-57 is wrong.
