I think I am in love with your first female figure... will you share her with me? Hope this works Andy!! www.handspeak.com/word/index.php?dict=oa&signID=1545Frank..I really search far and wide especially for promotions of OOP figures, generally I have to move fast as they go like hot cakes. I had a pied piper figure with rats 75mm lined up which was to good to pass up but it literally went while deciding on whether or not to get it. You win some you lose some! The last bust, I will have more details when it arrived...originally I saw it on Planet Figure a while ago. As for the jester a little bit of your twisted inspiration might be needed to rework him lol

When you are going to tackle the Jesthead we will have a discussion what to do with him. I guess some guys like you and me will have enough good ideas to make him a showstopper!
As for good deal, I remember a great ebay aucton which I won. For ca. 100 Euro I have gotten tons of original Dragon figure sets, all originally sealed which go on the market for a minium of 300 bucks. But the best deal ever was a Verlinden convolut for ca. 400 Euro for which I was the right time at the right place. A modeller sold his stock and it were tons of Verlinden Figures and accessorie sets, alone the whole 120mm range. I sold most of it for over 1000 Euro at ebay auctions these days and made a real good profit. Some stuff went in my own stash, but you can guess, it was for free so to say. It is always cool to have such business from time to time...

Picked up some goodies to work on this T34-76. This was my first time working with MasterClub white metal tracks. Much nicer than their resin ones and much easier than Fruil. It took me about 2-3 hours to assemble these. This kit will be the build but I may back-date it to a non commander version.

Next up, a "blitzbus:" This odd little creature jumped out at me after nearly an hour browsing the local hobby shop for something unique. And that it certainly is...

Ari...a zombie scene comes to mind mate! Definitely a change of pace compared to your recent builds. Now the question is what do you have planned for this one???

A zombie blitz bus scene (Ein Lebendertoterblitzbusbild?) would be interesting... It's so small though I'm not sure what more detail I could cram in there. The plan right now is to do it straight as the box cover suggests. It's a neat vehicle, and a chap kit so I may do this one straight and then develop a fleet of the things over time, in various modes. There's a double decker version of this I'd really like to hunt down!

This thing showed up yesterday. I haven't had a chance to dig into the box too much, but it looks really, really good. The truth is in how it builds, but on detail alone this has to be one of the best 1/32 jet kits on the market.

Yup. I'm probably gonna have to bite on the F-86...but I'm really excited about the P-39 you posted about yesterday.

Dude...I ALMOST broke into my Special Hobby P-39 a few weeks ago. I'll be snagging that one for sure if it's anything near their recent quality.

That would have really sucked!
Kitty Hawks quality progression is certainly promising. Been kind of brainstorming about what to build after the next couple of "scheduled" builds and the SH kit was on the shot list...looks like it will release about when I'm ready for it...just glad to hear about it so early.

Because I like to do dioramas for most of my builds now. Ordered three sets all the way from down under Australia and they arrived yesterday just in time for the model show tomorrow! Used one of sea birds for my recent Seehund build... I had to get that farm animal sets just because of the bunnies... Looking at all sets they are really great... good and crisp in details. Hoping a vendor here in USA sells them one day...

Well I lost my stuff at the humping rabbits. I suspect those will be the first ones you use. Lol. Nice looking little sets.

They could be very large rabbits in that 1/48 wingy build I keep hearing about

It's only fitting that Andy gets humping rabbits in the mail today...since my latest arrivals are also all his fault. Andy challenged me to a Star Wars duel build...then complained that my chosen kit had too few parts compared to his FineMolds X-Wing...so I had to get 2 TIE fighters to placate him...such a tough thing to do I know... Anyhow, from a galaxy far, far away...otherwise known as HobbyLink Japan, these two 1/72 offerings arrived on my doorstep a little bit ago.

Andy challenged me to a Star Wars duel build... Star Wars duel build? Whaaaaaaat? And how did I not get roped into this? ? You've got to take that up with Mr. Leffler...I have no problem adding you into the mix when the time comes...but that's still TBD depending on Andy's ability (or inability!) to contain himself relative to his build schedule in the near future.

Well I may just have to do that. Star Wars modeling? Without a dedicated Star Wars modeler?

I'm interested in seeing the details of those kits. I've wanted to do a Tie or X-Wing at some point. This should be a fun duel. Looking forward to it.

Bandai is bringing out a whole series of Star Wars kits that are new molds. You can see the review here of the X-WING and TIE Advanced: www.gunjap.net/site/?p=220636 . Here's the one for the regular TIE fighter: www.gunjap.net/site/?p=234877 At first glance in terms of what's in the box, they both look to be very cleanly molded and nicely detailed, always a good combination!

Interested to hear how they go together. Despite being the same scale as the Fine Molds kits (which are now no longer licensed), they're not the same size. Jury is still out on who's are "correct" depending which studio models they based their measurements on.

Revell Germany has a 1/67 scale TIE Fighter which just makes things a little more strange...
