Just thought I'd post a few pics of just one of the models I have on the go. This one is for an article in HobbyWorld magazine coming this year. After seeing and finding great reference photos of wrecked and burnt out modern Russian armor on FB and the web, I just had to take a short break from all the commission models and get this one back on the bench. So far just rough burnt effects, more finer effects and bringing out details later. The painted section still needs weathering.
This is how she looked for the past couple months. And now after a couple of hours last night. Sure was fun to do this again.

Love your burnt-out wrecks Rob! I wish I had your abilities - but I don't, so I cheat using 2 component rust

Thanks a bunch fellas for checking this one out. I have the modern armor (wrecked&burnt) bug but really have to hold off. This is one that will be making it's way to the bench. I have to get a Trumpy kit and have the Verlinden motor comp on it's way to me, courtesy of Charlie and Verlinden productions. I'll do a review of the motor comp as well.

MMMM, yummy Rob. Love the half and half effect on the BMP.
You must be loving all the pics coming out of the Ukraine of all this old Russian stuff blown all to bits, eh? A world of possibilities!

Boyd, yeah it's the Ukraine. A T-64 and BMP-2. BUT that isn't the pic of the T-72 I want to do, although I would like to do this one also. Here is the T-72 pic.

Guy, Leon and Tobias - Thanks fellas. I haven't done much to this model lately except for some chipping and light washes. Been working on some Tiger I tracks the past couple days, and the turret gun.
