Does it list a unit? Or just as "unknown"?

Interesting since Flak Battalion 614 is the only unit listed as actually HAVING flakpz Is. Definitely good to go with that one!

I would like to throw my hat into the ring on this one. It may be the most unimpressive of the lot but I have so many shelf queens that I need to finish before starting another major project.
I will be doing a 1/72 Revell 88mm flak 36 with markings for Kiev 1941. Just to push my limits I will try to do a small base for it since I have never done one.

Nice choice Dennis! Have to agree with Andy on not seeing many 88s built.

...and a quicky on the side. A T-40S. Yes, the box says T-30S, but that designation was never accepted and used ...and i still have to order it by or sponsor Petros. I am working on it Petr.

It is actually a T-30. The T-40S retained the well for the propellor. This build review from the AMPS website is very useful : www.amps-armor.org/ampssite/reviews/showReview.aspx?ID=3179&Type=FBWalkarounds legion-afv.narod.ru/T-30_Kubinka.htmllegion-afv.narod.ru/T-40_Kubinka.htmlI'm looking forward to building this soon, but I have too much to finish before I start another model. There are some good books on this tank in Russian. The tracks may be a weak point. I plan on using resin MasterClub tracks. These are gorgeous, but expensive. I have the resin ones. RB Models make a very nice 12.7mm DShKA barrel, for the T-40. HB has now released their T-40 kit, too. I like this little tank. It was a deathtrap, but it played an important role during the Battle for Moscow. Have fun. Regards Scott Fraser

Scott, thanks for the info! Its great! As far i knew, the T-40 was just upgraded and simplefied for production. The T-30 designation was proposed, but not accepted. They just called it the T-40... Maybe later, after the war they cataloged their inventory and named it the T-30 afterall (seeing the sign hanging in front of the Kubinka tank). This is not oncommon, they did it also with the T-34. In the war you had the 76 and 85 types. A,B,C,D,E, was given first by the germans. Later NATO give them the years numbers. For the T-30 info, i used the little green book of Stackpole. Nice photo's

Oh wow, the tank figures, one of the best brands on the market! Great choice, can you show some pics of the "naked" figures?? I really dig the dead German soldier, he looks awesome and I think of using this figure in one of my more creepy projects (can imagine a scene from FRANKENSTEINS ARMY par example, this movie is way cool and weird like hell!).
