As you all know I went to the IPMS 08 Open here in Sweden, and took home 2 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze medal. If that wasn't enough. I also was very surprise after winning two special prizes. 1. a Peterbelt Truck and the mother of all prizes...A 1/6 Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.B armor tank. Talk about flabbergasted. My first thought when I walked up to recive it, I the hell am I going to get it home? I took the wife and kid with me and believe me there was no room in the car, if you include my seven models. Well, that is another story all together. But seriously, I've never built a WWII tank, let alone in scale 1/6...Ha Ha Ha... To make things even stressful, the whole audience wants to see it done by the next IPMS, which will be next year....oopps. I don't think so. Just thought I'd share.

LOL, yeah that is one big box. just be glad you didn't win a 1/35 Dora. The Dora box is twice as big as that one. Well, what to do ey. I guess start building tanks...LoL. At least it's closer to what you build, rigs, than 1/35 armor. The parts on that kit are not as small as 1/35 so they will go together quick, and paint easier. i'd say give it a go. Who knows, you might get the armor bug and build more tanks. I built that Pete maaaany moons ago, great kit too. oh yeas, big congrats on the Gold's and Bronze wins.

You could always consider selling it if you don't want to build it...it's a pretty big finished item at 1/6 scale but if you have the space for it I say go for it!

Hey Charles- no "gift" should ever come with strings attached. I would rather see you turn that Peterbuilt into something that suits your style and then sell that Panzer II and buy 6 more HEMTT kits and an MRAP. IMHO pushing you into building a Panzer II would be like asking Picasso to paint my shed. :-) Steve Hahaha...good point. Btw, how much do these kits sell for? cannot be that cheap.

1/6.....oh crap, I thought 1/16. yeah that is one biiiiiiig model. Since it is out of your field of models ie rigs and such, I'd sell that sucker and do what Steve said, buy more Pete's and Kenworth's. If you don't have the room then there is no sense in doing it. As for the price...beats me. I'd like to know what a 1/16 T-34 goes for.!!!

Charles congrats on the wins. That PZII is a monster looking kit I am to agree with Steve sell it and buy more of what you like to build. The PZII is listed for about 200.00 Euro on the Dragon Model site, since it was a prize drop the price by a 1/3 or even 1/2 and you still make a decent profit. Cheers, Thom

Thanks Thom. I think I will do that. Again, Space is not what I am blessed with. It would difficult to have a table to work on, in the first place.

I hear you on the space. I have some room but since my hobby room is a catch all room the bench gets filled with junk at times. Had to turn down a comm job for a 1/16 model.
