Ok, here goes.
I use gold paint either out of a spray can or Tamiya out of a pot through my AB. Neither appear to give a really good finish so my question is can anyone recommend a good gold paint, preferably to go through a AB that gives a consistent smooth and above all Gold finish?
Thanks

Hey Mence!! I would say MM possibly if you do not want to go the alclad direction. I am fairly confident it can be buffed to get a nice shiny finish. Alclad has a shinny gold for Lexan...the process is the same as their regular finish, I would venture to guess that it will work on normal plastic. Most of the finish is in the first base coat, high gloss black or silver. They also have the high gloss brass too....damn close to gold!! alclad2.com/finishes/high-shine/

Hi T.
MM, hmm, pondered that but I don't think I can get it easily in the U.K. unless someone knows better? Thanks also for the Alclad suggestion but I need a deeper gold, that Alclad looks more like a shade similar to Tamiya's Titanium Gold?? I need to investigate MM a bit more I think...
Boots, it's for my Suzuka 8 Hour blog, I have now posted a pic for ya...
