Ok folks, this is my entry. First thought when doing such group builds is WHAT can I do. Painting a kit itself was too difficult because I could not decide which bust I could use. One from Young (the SS Maschine Gun soldier is so good, but does not fit into my personal collection) or the EVIL CLOWN or MUMMY from Pegaso? No, not my busts. So the idea came up to sculpt something I would love and what will be a bit extraordinaire, a bit creepy, a bit ridiculous and a bit wtf! I checked my printed out ideas I found over the years in the net and found something exremely well done, a picture of Donald Duck, but from a different point of view. This was exactly the basic for what I would love to do. Before you see a very different Donald tomorrow, lets make some explanations. The Bust is done in different sculpting compounds: Miliput black, Miliput white and Magic Sculpt. Miliput for the masses, MS for the details. The core of the bust is sculpted in Aluminium foil and playdoo for fleshing out, this all is covered with thin layers of Miliput for hardening purposes. These layers were sanded smooth (his clothes have no special details) and left the way they came out. First I thought I could add some ripps and torn outs in his jacket, but no, I left it "comic style". The detailing on the face is done and will be done only with MS and I hope to capture the entire thing, a bit modified, but to leave the spirit of it in my sculpt. It will look creepy when painted, with drool and gloss varnish in special areas, but it will also look funny. Only a little bit, but it will! So stay tuned for the pics which will follow tomorrow ! Frank

Please Frank, give the people pics they deserve ! Serious now, I look SO MUCH forward to the pics of your sculpted Donald Duck ! I thank you to let us know how you build up a bust with different materials, I think if I can finish my busts( ) in time, I'll try to sculpt one too, but please do not think I'm an experienced sculptor. Have fun Frank, and keep us informed !

Thanks for your support, Gentlemen! Yep, this bust is a challenge for me. Being a hardcore Disney fanatic, doing Donald this favor is like blasphemy, hehe, but a very refreshing thing. By the way, this design made first place in my choice: I found a pic of Donald as a Zombie, and this was in the ranking first. But I dropped it for lager, this creepy thing here will be more cool, I hope!
Todd, stay tuned till tomorrow when I will load up. Shay, yeah Bro, we both aim in the same direction! Hope you will be active at the sculpting front soon too! Deano, my heart bleeds a bit to do this with Donald, but hey, why not? There are so much "good guy" Donalds around a bad one will be a good addition! Leon, same for you Dude! Hope you will not be disappointed! Guy, you are welcome my friend. A superior painter like you will come up with sculpting!!! Great, I cannot wait to see what you will do and I stay here, eagerly waiting, to see and discuss!

Thanks Deaf, I hope not to disappoint you with my stuff now and in the future. So, here you all will see the first pics of the Duck. I guess, no one will have an idea where this ends, because the main part is missing at least, but stay tuned, there will be updates soon. Here is the stuff: The little holes in some, hm, mouth details, will be filled with teeth. Missing is some tentacle and prepping work. And the main head details of cause! Frank

Hehe, thanks guys! Shay, I know that you have no idea how it will go on because of its strangeness. When I saw what I can do with the design I noticed that the viewer will recognice the character first when it is complete. So stay tuned friends, I will come up with an update soon!

Guys, I have seen that the GB ends these days and I am not able to finish my projects at the moment. Because suffering from an infection makes me really ill and my wife tries to take me to hospital for on operation (to cut the infected area off and leave the goo out). We will see what happens the next days. Hopefully, I can escape this with tons of antibiotica and my grannies tips (take lots of camilla drenched tissue and wrap over the area. And this works indeed), but modeling at the moment is not possible.

Sorry to hear about the health issues Frank! No worries on the GB date buddy. No one is going anywhere....doubt anyone will say anything if it is late.
Take care of yourself. Infections are nothing to fool around with. Listen to that girlfriend, she sounds like she has a good head on her shoulders! Hope thigs get back to normal for you soon my friend!!
All the best,
T

Admit it Frank, you tried one of your own sculpting ideas out on yourself when no one was looking! Hope you get better soon and can get back to the bench all in one piece.

Thanks for the warm words, guys! After a night to remember (but not the way we love it) I am feeling a bit better today. The infected area is hard as stone and really painfull when touching it. I have got me some medicide to smear on, so called "Kohle-Salbe" which tracks the goo to the surface hopefully to popp out (gulp) In 2004 I had this for the last time ans two minutes later to hospital and direct operation, I would no more be here. It was a second before 12... Thought, I had passed this stuff, but now after 11 years.
Todd, really, Claudia is the light of my dark days!
Will keep you informed, friends!
