Hi there, my name is Angi and I am from germany. I'm living in a lovely town called Bocholt nearby the dutch border. I am a nurse but don't work at the moment so I have a lot of time spending with nice things. I started my first diorama 2 months ago when i ordered a lighthouse kit. Well. This is the first time I registered outside germany cause it is much easier to write in german. Hope, you understand my writings Angi

"Sehr erfreut"! Hey Angi, I'm a New Zealander who speaks fluent Dutch, dodgy English and my Deutsche can be a little better but quite "scheiße" most of the time! Lol The one language we all speak is modelling, and this place despite all language barriers and different nationalities is THE best place on the net, now...I am intrigued to see this lighthouse of yours!

I lived in Düsseldorf for 28 years before I moved back to my hometown last october. The clinic I work is called "Grafenberg". Think you'll know it "Sehr erfreut"! I like New Zealand but have never been there. A nephew and nice of mine went to school in Kerykery for a year and lived with a really nice family for that time. The two families stayed friends since that time. Well, @oli, I thank you for giving me the link to this board And I love my German friends that we are hoping to visit your country in the summer of 2016... Hope you will take a lot of time for yout visit Have you ever been in europe? Everything is much closer than in the US. I think you'll like it I have been in the US two times spending my holidays in the early 90th. 4 weeks in Florida and 4 weeks in the southern states again. I was very impressed by the width. Driving the tamiami trail for more than hundred miles without seeing any other human. And thanks a lot to all you guys for your welcome Okay, I will present my diorama in a new thread. Angi

I guess, at first Andy will love our beer here, right, Bro? Hehe, and to all my international friends: be prepared, it looks like we Germans taking over more or less. With our everpresent german WURST (sausage), our BEER (best in the world. OK, besides the stuff from Belgium and Poland that means) and the very tasty SAUERKRAUT (gulp, I guess, there is no english axiom for that stuff, shudder!) And living in Düsseldorf, yoho, I am from Cologne! And live here since 1997. I think YOU will know all the implications that has occured!
Shay, we will test your german, of cause!

We want to visit Denmark again and drive down to Germany next time! It will be fun! My parents live in Florida as snow birds so they don't have to deal with the cold weather in the winters. We are visiting my parents in two weeks... can't wait to hit the beaches!

When you have been in Denmark then you will have seen the kind of coast the northsea has. The dunes and the beach grass and the heather. I would like to build that on my diorama but there is less space for a dune. But I made lots of heather and yesterday I found a way to build realistic looking broom. Angi
