Your work has so many English overtones I was surprised to spot that California plate on the "Blue Bike" Harley. It seems out of place. Really nice work on them all. Interesting subjects, a good eye for detail, who could ask for more?

Wow! Great work, Peter.
But... What kind of toilet is THAT? I'm sure I would never use it! Not only why it's a hole in the ground but because of it's dirty... baaaaaaahhhhhh!

Peter...absolutely original and quirky modelling mate! The Duc workshop is so wonderfully detailed but my favourite is the long drop...something totally out of the box and different to what you would see on other forums...but not here! I read on an earlier post that you have only been modelling a small number of years and didn't even know what a diorama was....from my take on things you have a natural talent that will continually be explored. Who said Kiwi's can't fly lol

First, Crazy Ernie is my absolute man, totally crazy and way cool. But my fav is the toilett. It has something SILENT HILL´ish in it and fits in my work perfect. But where the hell are the figures from??? Lookin like selfsculpted or heavily converted. Top work here, tons of details and paintjobs perfectly done! Your work rocks!

Thanks for the kind words Deano, Coro69, Shay, deafpanzer and Bill.
afvfan - You are correct about the California plate probably not being right. I have a link to a page where you can make plates but they are all USA States plates. I don't have Photoshop and I took the easy way out and just used that.
Angi the toilet is a traditional Japanese style unit. I think used in many parts of Asia. I have visited Japan many times. They are mostly using western style toilets now but it is not unusual to still stumble apon one of these in cafes etc.
Frank - I did not make the figures. Unfortunately I am not that talented. Crazy Ernie is one of those Movie Character figures you buy from shops that sell comics and computer games. I think he was a bad guy in a horror movie before I gave him his new identity. The 1/18 biker figures and some of the other 1/18 figures I use are Japanese anime figures I brought on ebay. Some I do some painting on like scooter Girl, but mostly I am able to use as they come. They are plastic and some of these are very nicely detailed compared to the resin ones that are available.

Oh, I never said it was wrong, it was just unexpected with the general UK flair that shows through on most of the rest of your work. There aren't many people here that would think of using mods and rockers, or a Herald, or Norton in their work.

There aren't many people here that would think of using mods and rockers, or a Herald, or Norton in their work. UK Flair - Here in New Zealand we mostly had British cars and bikes through the 50's 60's and early 70's until the Japanese models arrived and became popular. In my teens in the mid and late 70's there were many British cars on the road. Triumph Bonnevilles and Tridents and Norton Commando's were popular here then and still are today. I along with many others brought used British bikes in the USA during the 80's and early 90's and shipped them back here in container loads. I still have a really nice T160 Trident in my garage. Being bike mad since I was about 12, bikes feature in many of my dio's. A good friend of mine had a dark red Herald when I first met him in 1976. He recently had his 60th birthday and I built this for that occasion and suggested to him that it was likely that this was the fate that could have befallen that car. I know a little of the Mods and Rockers and the infamous Ace café. Vespa scooters are one of my favourite modelling subjects. So you can see that many of the things in the UK that you knew well were also well known to us out here.

Top work, nevertheless! Frank Thanks Frank. Unfortunately most of the anime figures have cartoonish faces. It is hard to find realistic looking ones. The guy pictured is a character from Crows Worst. I have about 30 or more different figures from Crows Worst and Bad Boys that look great and the detail is fantastic. The Lady is Julia from Cowboy Bebop ( where do they get these names ? ) Here they are at the beach. A photo taken during their recent motorcycle tour for their Face book page ..... I got a little bored one evening.

You are tricking me! After a first glimpse of the pic I thought, how nic, k1w1 with his girlfriend on a ride. After a second glimpse, ok, but I really love this pic. It is way cool and the figures look great. Sure, some of those animestuff is not the way realistic figures would look, BUT the overall impression is what counts. And this is really fantastic!

All great stuff. This one however was an all too stark reminder of a nightmarish night on a trip to Paris in my former career. I was drinking with a bunch of Brits in a basement bar, just like the one in "Inglorious Bastards". I walked in to the restroom and even though I could barely see... a fuzzy image of that appeared before me. Now imagine trying to use this for the 1st time when you can also barley walk. Oh the shivers running down my spine as I type. A testament to how excellent that model is.

That toilet's still a step up from the hole in the floor with raised foot steps that I ran into over in France back in the 60's.

Wow, really great stuff! I love the little guy sitting forlornly on the edge of the dio in that Crazy Ernie scene.
BTW, the actor the original model was based on was Tor Johnson, who was in a lot of cheesy Ed Wood movies such as Plan 9 From Outer Space and Bride of the Monster.
