Hey guys, Currently i am working on my T-34 and i have some figures to go with it. These are Tank (or Tahk in Russian) model figures set T-35105 ''Soviet tanker & German infantrymen 1941/43" and set 35106 ''Escaping Soviet tankcrew 1941/43" I can do both sets in one thread, but to keep things more clear, i decided to do them independently. With only painting two figures, i have little experience. A lot of figure brands are in my collection and this is my thirth ''encounter'' making and painting this fabulous branche inside the hobby. On to the figures... T-35106 ''Escaping soviet tankcrew 1941/43" This set contains three figures. A escaping Soviet crew is here the theme. While recovering a wounded crewmember, another is giving covering fire. Package came in a small cartboard box, with figures in ziplock bags. Casting of this figures is exelent. Really. The bits of cloaths riped from their uniforms, is a stunner here. These pieces are moulded very thin and realistic. The tanker helmets are looking very realistic and should be very careful with removing them from the casting blocks. Its resin and could break very easy. The DP machinegun is also very good and fragile. I am leaving this piece on its block till i needed it. This scene is action packed, and very appealing to the eye. Photo's will follow soon Regards, Remco

Anyway, the figs are looking really fine and crisp! Painting them should be fun because of the well done details an the perfect moulding. Do not know which what colours you will work because all technics depend on this. Will you use acrylics?

Vallejo with the retarder Frank. As a guide i use the Osprey book "painting waffen ss figures by Michael Tan. Amazing techniques and good build up.

Yep, the Calvin Tan book is the way to go. For me, personally, the best inspiration I could find over the years! And Vallejo paint, good choice too. I use them together with LifeColor which I can recommend a lot. Haven´t used retarder till now because I paint only in very diluted layerings. Always do up to ten coats, this works as well. Post some pics when you start painting the tank figures, please!
