I decided to give the Maschinenkrieger Crew a go. Have purchased them some years ago but hadn´t build them till now because the figures aren´t as crisp as they should be (compared to today´s standarts). The detail is soft, the poses are simple and all is a bit not so detailed as I expected. But anyway, for some fun painting they are perfect. Building was not so cool because of milewide gaps and nearly non fitting parts. I didn´t want to sculpt here so filling and sanding/polishing was all to be done. Painted in Vallejo and LifeColor acrylics was easy, with layers of first shadows and highlights done. There is some more paintwork to do, but they look nicer than I have expected, so I will build the rest of the figures, too. Here are the first pics: But note the till yet unpainted hand with glove! I have the feeling it might be a bit out of scale! Frank

Ma.K way cool I have the same set and yes the hand looks a bit odd. But it's in a glove so you can say it's rather big warm winter glove

I just got this same set. I plan to put them with the Adler. The hand does look a little big, but gloves can do that.

Thanks Dudes! But wait till you see the other figures! Especially the woman has some imperfections. But ok, they are injection molded pieces and not the Dragon Quality, so it does not matter. And for the glove, we will see how it will look with some colour on!

I agree that the facial detail is a bit "soft" compared to some of the other stuff that's out there. Should be cool nonetheless!

We will see. But when I think of Dragon figures in 1:35, their faces are far more well. We will see how it will come out. Maybe I will do a camouflage trouser to add some more interest. Or to simplify it, only olive green!

Some progress is done here, on the "soft figures". I love the sculpting of the trouser, very good folds. First lights and shadows are painted here, on the jacket, too. Glove and shoes are untouched till now. And the female mechanic is in the works, too: It was more fun to paint them as I expected. The clothes are really cool done and show enough details. But in resin, they would have been ca. a ton better... Frank

Thanks a lot guys! For being very soft in sculpting and casting, the figures have some kind of charme and the clothes are really not bad. I think, the main problem is to be very carefull not to overdo the folds in the clothing. Means: tons of different very subtle shading on them. I will see how far I can or will go with them!
