The second attempt looks better Nate. Not too overdone and evenly spotted. Now you ahead as T has mentioned. The upcoming weathering will give more depth and dimension to it. It's all about the layers.

Thanks Spud. The Front window is just careful scribing with a hobby knife and the rear and side are just cut to the desired shaped, coated with glue, and sprinkled with a glitter like material called "icy sparkles" made by deluxe materials. Works really well and it's easy. I saw it on Ken Abrams' GAZ AAA that won at AMPS. He's supposed to have an article describing it in one of the mags in June or July:).

Some fantastic rusting Nate. The effects all look great bro. yep the AK rust streaking comes in very handy. The only thing I could suggest is to add some Slimy Grime in a few areas, just to break up all the rust tones and add a bit of contrast. Other than that I think it looks perfect. Well done of one rusty 55.

Thanks guys. Your support and comments mean a lot. I hear ya on the slimy grime/contrast issue, Rob. I'm gonna have to pick that up (or make some with oils:).
