A 1/12 fig sounds cool. looking forward to seeing it! Funny that you checked in here...I am making a shift in gears tonight. I will start laying some color tonight on the pants and such. I will try an keep this updated a bit more if it helps somewhat.

Having some AB issues and before I load both of the in my 12 gauge and shoot them into the woods....I will make a coffee and sit down and do some hand painting I think on this ;D LOL, keep an eye open for an update sooner or later!! ;D

Hi Guys! Back again at this one tonight. I have a little down time while I wait for some paint to dry.

Time to paint the pants!!

First off I needed to cover the boots. Just for the record, The boots were painted with Alclad Gloss Primer/Filler and Finished off with Alclad Gloss Black.

Ok, here is what I started with. Some Tamiya Field Grey mixed 50/50, Tamiya Field Grey, Brown and Deck Tan for the mid-tone, and I wish I could remember the mix on the last one....but I can't



I began by taking the Field Grey and spraying with the piece upside down as to darken the areas that would mostly shadowy to begin with. I also Spray the area between the 2 legs and various creases.





Next I applied the Mid-tone coloring. Taking care to avoid the recessed darker areas.





Lastly, I applied the lightest of the three colors. This is really thin, maybe 60/40 if not thinner. I kept lightly going over different areas to give the faded appearance and to bring up the highlights of ridges and the high points.





I gave pretty much the same treatment to the hat as I did to the pants. (not shown). I will hit these with a wash I think and then maybe a little bit of the oils to bring even some more highlights up here and there. I will probably finish off my night with trying to finish off the eyes I started a couple weeks back.

Thanks guys! Been an interesting build so far. Not much of a figure man per say, but I am thinking that there may be a few more down the road!! It's relaxing!

The pants I think were the easy part. I will be hand painting her top soon. Think I will be taking my time on this...otherwise I will have to be filling in some tattoos maybe!

Might try and hit the pants with a wash tonight and maybe get started on the blouse in between chipping sessions on the IT Job!!

Thank you Frank!! Wel sir....I would actually have to know how to sculpt first in order to scale her down! (((((LOL)))))) Someday I may try my hand at sculpting but for now, sticking with the painting!!..Looking to try and finish her up this week BTW....add one more to the gallery for the year!!!

Update on this a little later. I was able to start fixing body parts together and a wash last night!! Started a simple base too!!

The base is a glass top to one of the wife's stinky candles!! A little glue, water and sand...insta-base!!!

Not my best I think, but, being my first "publicly" finished fig...I'll live with her!
