Very cool and unique design, great build and top weathering. All what I miss is a figure (of cause!). But this does not distract from the great build. And now I am wondering what you will build next! Your first SF modell?? Congrats, it is superb!

Thanks Frank. Appreciate the sentiments. Agree about the figure. I will eventual add one, if I can Find one that will together with this beast. This build is a 1/32 scale so if you have any tips then please let me know.

Ohhhhh boy - I'm in love! After getting the AMT kit of Anakin's podracer, I've always wanted to do a line of the "other" ships...but decided it might be a bit ambitious and difficult to replicate them. Scratching vehicles in the style of the podracers, though, would be a lot less restrictive - just like what you've done here. Excellent! On a similar vein, there's this kit from IMech that I can't wait to build: industriamechanika.com/shop/land/30-the-t-zero.htmlTo go along with it, you've got this guy...which is unfortunately out of production: www.alb-lab.it/html/markov.html

Those two kits really nice. Especially that T-bar zero. I Would love to modify that kit. Currently working on a Hover bike. Got several planned.

Maybe you have seen in the figure departement (sculpting) that I sculpt most of my figures myself. I love monsters and mayhem and this is reflected in the stuff I am doing. But I have a faible for SF stuff too (mainly Maschinenkrieger and Star Wars/Aliens) and have done stuff in this field, too. Here is an example: modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/thread/8497/franks-projects-maschinenkrieger-relaxing-pilotSo if you are going to add a pilot, I would go for two possibilities. You can choose a guy or gal standing relaxed with or without flying suit near at the maschine, holding a bottle of coke or something or add a pilot in the seat in a cool pose flying by. I would go for a sculpt, if this is no problem for you or modify a given figure, adding some cool clothing like that leather jacket I have sculpted on my MaK Pilot. The possibilities are endless and I am curious with what you will come up with! Cheers, Frank

Again. Amazing work you do. I am not that gifted with figures as you are Frank. Figure building is a niche in my side. But I guess I will have to start somewhere. I was justhe wondering if there are any ready made figures that I do not have to modify too much that I can use instead?

Hm, lets see: There are some military driver figures from Dragon, Italeri, Bronco, Mantis and several Resin manufacturers out there. But the plastic kits are more cheap, you get 4 to 6 figures per pack and the detail is excellent. With a bit modification work, you can reach really cool results and can make a perfect fitting figure for your hover bike. Maybe add some seat belts (hehe, highly recommended of cause!) and could make the seat with a bit magic sculpt fit perfect to the figure. All you have to do is choose if the figure should stand beside the vehicle or ride it. If you have any "problems" or building questions just ask. And thanks for your compliments!

It's great to see someone doing it the old-fashioned way - once upon a time anything made from glue-able hard plastic was fair game for use in sci-fi builds. Small plastic sweet (candy?) boxes e.g. TicTac were a staple, I used to grab the centres out of adding-machine and Fax-paper rolls, plastic cutlery and coffee stirrers also have their uses. Apart from the freebie stuff, I still occasionally squirrel away items I might find a use for, like this: www.poundland.co.uk/cocktail-shakerUpside down it could be the first stage of an old-style sci-fi rocket stack, or a silo in a ruined industrial complex... Looking forward to more of your builds. Regards, M

M hits the nail on the head! I had boxes full of such stuff, from household wares, parfums, hygienic articles, tons of spues and plastic rests, and kits buyed only for slashing out purposes. Tons of junk parts for superdetailing. You can use everything!

Totally missed this last week! Glad I get to see your stunning work... I won't be surprised if you will be hearing from Lucas Films to buy yours for their upcoming movies.

Yep, it is rumored around 4,2 Billion Dollars. I wonder, how many STAR WARS movies they have to make to get it all in. But the merchandize will do the main job I think...

Lucas was smart to hold all rights in the very beginning. Now he and his family do not have to work for generations to come.

Reminds me a bit of Jack N., the first joker in the first BATMAN. Instead of money he wanted some % from all the money the movie inclueding all merchandise make. He ended up with over 100 millions, harhar! Wise decision!!
