I'm building this vehicle to try some weathering techniques. This website is really an inspiration for this. Anyway, the question... I primed and sprayed all the components in different shades of brown and red (mixed). Next I applied a thick darkbrown wash and used "some" pigments over this. This is the result... I tried to make some heavy rust in some areas. Should I use some pigmentfixer and matt varnish before I continue with the basecolour? Cheers Ron

Hey Ron....1st, great stuff so far!! On to the question...Yes. Either head to the matte clear coat now or after the heavy rusting. Then Chipping fluid or hair spray, add you base coats as desired and chip and then head back to the pigments to bring out what will be toned down from the matte coat. Good luck

That is what you need to keep doing....play around!! Looking right on track!!! Once you get some base color down all that texture will pay -off nicely!!
