Sweet as usual! My figs arrive ca. at the end of the week, and I use one of them. The rest will be stuff from the stash and "crap". Some pics as soon as the main kit is here!

Thanks again to TRM for setting this all up, can't wait for the start date.
Got a couple candidates in the stash I'm thinking about. I also have a 3yr old in the house who has been telling me weekly that he really likes planes with shark teeth so maybe a smaller scale p-40.
Cheers (extra appropriate sign off now)

I'm in, Will save the K18 for this build and find something else for the 30 day Normandy build.. This one starts 4 days before the other ends. Plus 3 months to do the K18 would be better as I read it is a challenging kit.

I have one of the old 1/32 snap-tite Monogram trucks left over from the post apocalyptic GB that might be perfect for this...perhaps I can sort of bridge the two GB's with such a project.
I have thought it kind of sad that the PAGB died out as soon as it did

Post apocalyptic would be great. Zombie movies aren't my thing once zombies started running, but I love to watch build logs where the modeller can build stuff exactly how they please without the rivet counters stepping in.

Jeff, if you like Zombie action maybe you would be interested in my entry here: Stalking around. No Zombies, but a very messed scenario, definitly with some kind of creature(s) in. And, the PAGB looks cool! The most of you have done Cars and stuff like that. When I will find the time to step in (open end sounds really cool!) I would like to do something I have not done before: City buildings in a future where nature gets back all of it, with some ruins and civilisation garbage lying around. All done in HO scale (for the dimensions, more than two or three buildings would not be wise, and they have to be done in ruins and tons of plants have to be sculpted and scratched.) So more tons of work beside all that other stuff. But Todd, as you said, OPEN END!

I think I'll add my name to this one - got quite a few weird but probably not wonderful kits in my stash that qualify.

And MAYBE, if you can do a cool buy, some of the money is left for one or two beers which can be used whilst building: For refreshing purposes!

Hahaha! I just read it, and still laughing!! Unfortualy i don't have "cheap" kit without aftermarket sets... Oh wait, i have the 1/35 RPM T-60 with aber PE. I wil give a try to make the steel wheels from the stalingrad factories. I will add my T-30S tracks, who are leftovers... Hmmm, sound like its a perfect fit regarding the rules. i have to think about it.

Remco

Harhar, maybe we should do sometimes a Whiskey Money GB, or a Gin, or a... And to shapen it up, you are allowed only to build when you get your fill! Muharr, I am so curious about the kits and their paint jobs!

Sure that would make making the guts pouring out of the figures you have Frank, much easier!! LOL!! I have enough trouble trying to see the tiny parts let alone being half ...or all in the bag before I attempt to build!!!

Have you ever thought about filling up the bags with the parts with some glue, shake them down and hope for the best? That all parts will glue together in the right place? More or less? I think, thats the only way handling such a group build.!
Harhar!

Not yet, but good idea!! I do take the tiny nub pieces off the sprue and toss them in an old Tamiya thin bottle, mix with MEK and make a styrene filler from it...LOL!!! Works awesome!

It seems like most of the builds are coming from eastern European companies. Maybe a vodka group build would have been a better starting point instead of beer. But you know what they say about clear alcohol. Cheers #57

Todd, I know the same technic with liquid plastic glue. In former times, they have used this paste to put on, say a horses neck, and let it dry. Than taking a Historex Pyro Gravur and "sculpt" the mane with the heated point of the gravur part. They used it for superdetailing all the way. I do not even know if this little gem is on the market these days...
57, sounds promising, a Vodka group build. But whats next? Some kind of fast food GB?

Ok. Now to make it more interesting to make you feel like you already have drank your $30 worth. You have to cut all the parts of the sprue and put them in a bag then shake them up. Then dump them out on the table and build.. No instructions. unless you're building a dragon kit then there really is no difference.

Count me in. I think I have a few of the older (early 80's) Tamiya Japanese planes. It'll give me an excuse to detail one of 'em out.
