What to do what to do, next to a couple other projects I wanted to start this for a long time.. The superb full loaded Vorpanzer kit from Dragon! Don't need to add aftermarket besides a couple of metal tracks. I want to make a DAK version, sand over gray, battered by the harsh weather and combats conditions Soon the first updates

Looking forward to this one! This is an evolution of the original 'Super Kit' IV-E and that means that the parts count on it is over 1000 including the tracks but they build up nicely with a fully working suspension.

1000 parts? And I don't have one? And I just found a couple of unused (not for long:P) gift cards.
I've got my seat in the theater and getting comfortable. I'll sit in the aisle seat in case I get up to get candy or pee or something. Don't want to bother anyone.

Hey Gents, thnx for checking in! It sure is a very nice and detailed kit. Because of the many parts i kept the kit unclosed till now I always wanted to do a DAK vehicle and I think the time is right now to do one. I try to speed up the build because i realy looking forward to paint and weather this one

Thnx BJ and T let's see of we can make something nice of it! The 'best' part is done suspension and wheels, still got a 1000000 parts to go :0 Workable suspension Well detailed wheels, note the inside of the sparewheel. Now back to the bench and build build build!

Nice progress, the suspension on these kits are little gems in their own right but do take a good bit of time to get it all together.

Really love your work so far Elco. In my attempt to build up a decent size stash, this is one of the first kits I ordered.
I will wait till my skills have advanced a bit before i tackle it though.

Hi Wes, that is the best thing to do, it is not a easy kit, I opened the box many times and closed it right away hahaha. Let's hope this build goes right Thnx T, the workable suspension with metal tracks must be a killer, looking forward to that sight

After building a easysnipsnap Tamiya kit this one is horrible!! But your right it is a impressive kit Just make sure you have an 'easy' build to do after it so you don't suffer burn-out. I've built the Dragon IV-C and IV-E kits and as long as you treat the different stages like they are 'mini-kits' you'll feel a sense of progress and accomplishment as you move through it. The suspension process has to be one of the more tedious/repetitive ones and you've got it behind you and with a good result! It took me about 3 months to build the IV-C when I did it but was worth it! www.bpmodels.net/Model/Album/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=54

Your absolutly right Bill, there so many parts that this is the best way to build it! I made huge progress doing it this way and didn't mention the clock a couple of times so not much sleep this week I'll post some updates asap. Great build by the way Bill!

When I was working on the first (and only so far) Dragon Panzer IV I have done it actually drove me away from the bench for about four months. It sat around half done until I began to take an interest in it again; probably did not help that I also put a full Verlinden/CMK interior into it so I know your pain.
Hang in there brother I have no doubt you'll pound it out to an excellent finish
Regards, Mark

Thnx for the heads up Mark;) building the kit is 1but add a full interior.. I feel your pain I guess the feeling painting this thing is so strong that i shift in full gear. Still got some things to do but you can say I did some serious building last week.. I must say that I kept Mike Rinaldi's book close, Dragons instructions are a real pain.. Next update is a finished build ( i hope). Only have to wait on the Easy Metal Link tracks..

I've got this kit and it terrifies me. Lol. It's absolutely a shelf queen for me. I'm sure it will give you no problems. I look forward to watching it unfold. Excellent start.
